Horror. Used to work great, but does not work at all anymore. Xero is an essential integration and MUST work on Shopify Plus plans. Bold Dev's have no clue what they are talking about. Their responses are useless. Don't even try, just a waste of time. There is an app that works just flawless, but why would I pay additional $30 plus monthly for each and any shop on my plus plan? At least they proof that it is possible to have a working connection with Xero. I do not care who to blame. Shopify is in charge to deliver. But they do not. Shame on you Shopify. Time to consider other options...?
I choose to use Xero because it was meant to work with Shopify, but what I found was that it did not load all of the sales and it was meant to continue to refresh and upload any sales every night at midnight, however it did not do this either. I did not find it easy to work with and for all the hype that I had heard about it, there was no support and only short little uninforming videos that didn't show you anything of use for beginners. If felt like 80% of the videos out there just told you how great the program was, well for me it was the biggest waste of $300 that as a small business I won't ever get back again. There was more than this that I found wrong with working with this program, but I have better things to do than continue this rating, like finding the time to catch up on the last 6 months of accounting.
Basically what was said in many of the other reviews. The app has always had bugs that were tolerable but the latest stunt pulled by Bold is massively disruptive to my business. Bold have shown they are willing to remove features without any notification or regard for your business.
This is not a good partner to work with and they will cause more work than the time they save.
This is not worth the money. The hassle it creates in Xero is just extraordinary and very limited options in settings. I switched to a different plugin and am so much happier plus im saving money each month.
This application has never worked as advertised from the beginning and was one of the worst applications on shopify to date. Not only does the application emulate failure, but the support team also represent the notion of disappointment. By using this app, our company found that bold created more work for us, than it did making things easy. On top of that, when we queried the support staff about some major issues, they mostly brushed over the main points and simply helped us out with small minor complaints rather than addressing the bigger issue. All in all this experience was very poor and we have no intentions of going back to bold, or of recommending this application to anyone else, as it is not fit for purpose. Unfortunately ratings systems, don't allow you to rate a 0/5, but we are going to do this right here and say, we rate this application a 0/5.
Does not actually synchronise your stock levels. It only tells Xero that you have sold an item. It's blatant false advertising.
Also there is nothing in the way of customising how invoices are sent to Xero. You can only send them as paid, which only creates more work for our accountants.
Buggy app, sometimes orders magically disappear from xero... Now they want to charge for it? Classic scam, hook you until you're dependant, then charge you for it once you're integrated.
I have had a very poor experience with this app due to bugs that create syncing errors. The support team is very slow to resolve open issues and does not provide technical details. The Shopify API is often to blame but it works better with Zapier.
NEVER AGAIN! This software does not do what they say it will do. You can not use it to write Purchase Orders and track inventory because it doesn’t work with Shopify. They refuse to help you until you have connected your bank account to the software and become a paying memeber. Then once you do that they tell you it shouldn’t be used to track the inventory. You can only use Shopify OR Xero which means you could oversell in Shopify if you choose Xero to track your inventory. This makes handling a large inventory impossible. ADDITIONALLY we tried to cancel this subscription for at least 3 months. They told us we needed to do X. We did. Then we would get billed again next month. They told us we needed to do Y. We did. We still got billed. So now they conned well over $100 from us for software we never used. DO NOT USE XERO!!!
This integration used to work really well for year(s). As of August 2018, there have been export errors regularly which is causing an accounting nightmare in Xero. The integration is broken and taking 2+ months trying to resolve this issue (still unresolved) shows just how low a priority it is at Bold. I'm actively looking for a better alternative and so should you.
