Wirklich schlimm, wir hatten die App in der benutzung und jetzt wo wir ein Theme Update hatten, funktionierte nichts mehr. Also haben wir uns entschieden, die App ganz zu löschen. Pustekuchen, sie ist so extrem im Code, dass man alles neu machen könnte.

We understand there was some sort of a conflict after a theme update that led you to decide to remove our app, but code was left behind. Leftover code usually remains if the app is uninstalled without completing the two-step process, which requires first deactivation of the app to remove theme modifications and then deletion of the app. Or if another (usually SEO-related) app interfered with the removal process.
This can be easily fixed with a simple reinstallation and uninstallation process (besides the following suggested steps, our support team will soon reach out to you via email in order to solve this as soon as possible). If you haven't already, please reference our page with Yoast SEO app uninstall instructions: https://yoast.com/help/remove-yoast-code-from-theme-in-shopify/
Here are the next troubleshooting steps to take:
1. Re-install the Yoast SEO app on your site.
2. Instead of "Get a subscription," click on "Remove theme modifications.". Please wait until the process is finished.
3. Click on Go back to Apps and then Remove the app again.
Once you've done this, the Yoast SEO code should be completely removed from your theme files.
In case you have another SEO app installed, it would be best to remove that first before proceeding with the steps above, as other SEO apps may interfere with the proper uninstallation process of Yoast SEO.
As aforementioned, in any case, our support team will soon reach out and provide any further assistance you may need to resolve this.

The tool is easy to use and even within a few weeks I'm starting to see an impact. As well as this the support is really really good.. it's hard to know what to trust in terms of data and errors so the support & academy are just as valuable as the underlying tool in navigating all this

Update: 9-26-2023: I appreciate you announcing that the issue that you never told your users about until we contacted you. It is a very important part of the SEO scoring process on your app. Your user can easily place too many keywords in a description which will effect our search engine results. I have lost trust because you should have notified your users in the app or by email when it first happened.
UPDATE 9-23-2023: Very disappointed in my response from support that one of the important components in this app are not working. Said it was a known bug with no ETA on a fix. I have a hard time thinking all of the calculations with keywords in my content may not off.
UPDATE: I will give it another try and see what we can accomplish with SEO between now and Christmas Shopping time.
I have used this app for nearly 7 months ago and it was easy to use and I trusted it would help. If anything we have lost rankings more than.
UPDATE (October 1st, 2023): Thank you for your update. Indeed, the analysis score is an important part of our app; however, it only provides suggestions based on general SEO and readability principles. As aforementioned, the analysis doesn't affect your SEO, but it's a beneficial tool that can help you improve your content. So it is more of a guideline rather than a strict rule. Most importantly, you write your content in a way that reads nicely to your visitors.
If you are seeing warnings on your pages or posts that you cannot resolve (even due to a technical issue), there are many situations where you'd want to ignore them and use your best judgment.

Indeed, the issue with the "keyphrase in introduction", is something recent, and providing a fix is a top priority for us. This is expected to be released in the coming days, as mentioned in our follow-up email reply sent yesterday to address your concern.
We understand though technically, this does not have a negative impact on your SEO, it can be confusing and time-consuming when you are doing keyword calculations and optimizations, and we apologize for that.

Thank you for sharing your review, though we are sorry to hear about the loss of rankings. We would like to help you with this, though with the Yoast SEO app uninstalled we are limited in what we can do. The next best step for you is to send us details, like the other apps it was conflicting with and SEO work it was hiding, at support@yoast.com. Please note that theme modifications made by the app when it is installed are lightweight and, if anything, should help with rankings by adding meta tags and schema. We're looking forward to hearing from you and helping as best we can.
"How shall I manage to improve my SEO - I know nothing about it?" So I Googled and found Yoast SEO. Once entering the App I almost gave up, scared of doing wrong. Than I started to chat...! I got the most wonderful support!! I am now up and running improving my website! Thankyou Yoast SEO!

I don't usually take the time out to leave reviews unless a product/service is like no other. I have been using Shopify for my e-commerce store since 2017 and have tried and tested a few SEO apps over the years. There has not been one like Yoast SEO and now can confirm that this is the ultimate SEO app in the market. What I particularly like about this app is its ease of use and their customer service; their response time is quick and efficient. The Yoast SEO team truly go above and beyond in answering your questions and provide a bespoke solution to your store. Having said that, I have learnt world class holistic SEO practices from their SEO courses available at Yoast Academy. I was so invested and convinced by their resources as it provided me with results that I could have never imagined of. For example, a lot of my products were listed on Google's 1st page and were also listed on Google's Shopping tab, within a matter of few weeks of after implementing their app and following teachings from their courses. As a result, I upgraded to their premium plan without hesitation. The courses are thorough and will teach you the core basics you need to know of SEO. I had no knowledge of SEO when I first started and always felt overwhelmed when I tried to learn from other apps and resources I tried. Taking their courses was the best decision I ever made for it taught me valuable skills of SEO best practices that I can apply in any case or scenario. It broke down each pillar of SEO; on page SEO, technical SEO and off page SEO and how to use them all together for quick and reliable SEO success. If there is any app you want to install for your online success or invest in to learn SEO; make it Yoast SEO because you will be killing two birds with one stone. My only complaint is that I wish they had launched Yoast SEO on Shopify sooner as it would have saved me a lot of time, effort and money that I had wasted trialing other apps trying to achieve what I achieved with Yoast SEO within a few months of being committed and dedicated to the app. Definitely recommend!
