We were able to automate some of the process with the Zapier app with shopify. I like that we can also see the line items when we need to through zapier not just the general order info.
What a great app and the support is incredible: friendly, knowledgeable and most importantly eager to help which is rather rare these days!
I am now able to survey my customers with typeform, pull in their order data from shopify with zapier, and send the emails automatically 5 weeks after they purchase with gmail. Just an example of all the things you can do, but this is an automation useful for all ecommerce stores!
From what I can tell they own this space along with OneSaas and Workato but we prefer Workato because it's Native to Salesforce. We are testing Zapier as a backup to see if it makes the process any easier...even though they are not Salesforce experts if it works then you can argue with that.
I <3 automation so zapier is a no brainer. Helps me connect data from different apps internally on the store.
Awesome app to connect apps to apps! We use it to connect Shopify and Bonjoro. LOVE it!
Zapier is a great app. You'll need to make a bit of manual setup at first but once it get going, it can replace an low level employee that would be doing a lot of manual entry. So this is worth the money.
There are limitations but over all it's worth it if you find yourself wasting time or paying someone else for this kind of work.
On my end, I use it to add all my orders and details in a clean Google Sheet which automatically updates itself (something I would do manually before). Now that I'm getting a lot more orders this saves me so much time and money.
There are tons of other things it can do that you'll have to figure out or even create your own.
I think this app is a must if you start having a few orders per day and need to automate basic data entry.
We use Zapier to import our customer contact information into Zoho CRM / Zoho Books. It saves us a lot of time adding our web orders into our bookkeeping. We do not pull the actual order details (items/prices), just contact info. The contact information is the most time consuming part of the bookkeeping. Recommended as a time saving tool.
This is a great app for us. We have it connected to our Infusionsoft account, eliminating double entry of our new customers (as well as our repeat customers' orders); we use Buffer to tweet and post our new products we're uploading to Shopify (70,000 of them over the next three months); and we use Wufoo outside of Shopify to connect to Infusionsoft to add new leads that come in. We're a small business with an eye towards automation, and Zapier fits the bill for us really, really, well.
The product is great, and the team is great. We use Zapier to post products to twitter, Tumblr (via a Zap from Shopify to Gmail), Buffer (to post to Google Plus), and even to allow Mandrill to get a fresh, individual discount code for new Mail Chimp subscribers. And I've run into a couple of situations where I didn't know how to do something and when I described what I was trying to do the support team essentially figured it out for me.
I highly recommend Zapier to anyone on Shopify.
I'm far from being any kind of developer but I was able to easily create several zaps that work correctly. Very easy to use. When I've had questions or something hasn't worked the way I thought it should, their customer support has been very responsive and helpful.
