Do not use this for sourcing – My honest experience since Nov 2025

I have been using Zendrop since November 1st, 2025, and I want to share my experience to warn other ecommerce beginners. I purchased the "Plus" plan for $100 during a Black Friday sale, but even at that discount, I feel ripped off.

Here is my timeline using their "Sourcing Request" feature for four different products:

1st Product (Massager Wand): A few days after they sourced this for me, they contacted me to say it was out of stock and offered a lower-quality substitute, forcing me to change products. Later, when I received my first order on Dec 23, 2025, it sat "In Review" for 8 days because they were out of stock of the gift bag I had sourced. They never emailed to notify me; I only found out because I checked. It took an additional 3 business days (in total 13 days) just to ship after that.

2nd Product: I ran ads for two days before they randomly increased the price. Their explanation was that "supply and demand cause prices to fluctuate." Isn't the entire job of a sourcing agent to confirm pricing with a supplier before giving me a quote?

3rd Product: They provided a random bundle I didn't ask for. After I sold just one unit, they nearly doubled the COGS immediately—raising the price from around $33 to $64.88 making its impossible to continue selling.

4th Product: They sent me the completely wrong product attached to an email claiming, "Our team worked hard and found this product from verified suppliers." The sourcing feature is a joke.

I finally requested a refund for my subscription. Since it had been over a month, they denied it (I had only used about $9 in credits).

My advice to newbies: Don't make my mistake. Do not listen to the YouTubers who are affiliates for this app. I am accepting my $100 loss as a lesson to be more careful when choosing suppliers, but I will not be using Zendrop again. 0/5 stars

edit: I am updating my review to 3 stars specifically because of the support I received from Darlene. She was incredibly helpful, fast, and went out of her way to fix a complicated order issue and cover the cost difference.

However, I cannot honestly give 5 stars yet because the Zendrop platform itself still caused me significant frustration with cancelled orders and fluctuated price. While the support agent (Darlene) is fantastic, the system reliability needs to match her level of service. I will be happy to improve my rating in the future if I see the my experience with the platform run more smoothly over time.

Easy to use which is great to import products into your store, but the products that they show is not the same. I test ordered products from the store and they said they can’t send me that product as they do not have it and wanted to send me a product that is completely different. You do not know if what they show you originally is what they have, which is super dangerous and risky for the business especially when customers order and charge backs and returns begin to happen…

I ordered from my own store to see how the process would be for customers. I ordered two T-shirts and a hoodie with a discount that I offer to everybody through a code and I didn’t know that I apparently have a $60 threshold and I’m not getting straight answers from Shopify. I’m waiting to get in touch With ninja pod but it seems to me that when an order is placed that’s over $60 there’s a fee that they charge you and my fee that I was charged was $83 luckily enough it didn’t go through but I paid for my order with another card so that’s why I gotta get in touch with ninja pod. It shows paid for but unfulfilled.

I have an existing Shopify store already and I just wanted another passive business and I came across your ad. The site looks basic so I hope your team will be improving this and I expected set up support to be more helpful. Your AIs in the IG chat box are not very helpful at all so may I humbly suggest you look into making the AI “closers” easier to relate to and not just bots who give us generic replies that sometimes are not even connected to what I’m asking. I just continued because I knew other ways how to go about the set up. Anyway, PLEASE BE MORE PROACTIVE WITH YOUR CUSTOMERS. Thank you!!

Terrible service, careless choice of suppliers, product photos don’t match reality, support replies with canned responses, and they refuse to take responsibility for their own mistakes. Processing takes about a week, not 1–3 days, and shipping takes about a month, not 14 days as they claim. Lost around $4,000 because of them.

UPD:

After publishing this review, Austin, who manages the Zendrop Customer Experience, reached out to me. He expressed his condolences regarding my experience and offered a refund of my most expensive subscription (which I had purchased for a full year) while allowing me to keep it active for free as a new plan. As an alternative, he also suggested $100 in order credits. I chose the first option, which at least slightly compensated for the losses.
Also, after long arguments, support agreed to refund the amount I had paid for each order. But unfortunately, this is not even half of my losses.

Zendrop are a quandary - they have superb customer service (people), but they are let down by a system that really isn't set up for 'supply'.
The sheer number of 'variations' on a single supply item, from different supply points, means that the store owner is left wondering if they connected the right item, or if the (occasionally nice) pictures actually show the items they are offering. BTW Zendrop - check the pics, most people are struggling with Google and it's archane policies on images, MINIMISE THE TEXT AND MAKE IT LANGUAGE RELEVANT.

The number of times that an item gets 'pulled' is odd, when in reality there are multiple other suppliers, which means that you cannot be certain that the 'listing' you have won't give you dozens of rejected orders, as Zendrop don't connect one listing to multiple suppliers, that's up to the store owner to manage.

Zendrop's Plus listing subscription is also dubious - there are no tangible benefits to this other than more items (why would you restrict the listings that someone can have?) and some really quite boring 'tech talks' that are hosted by very 'cool' guys telling you how they are coming to you from their new apartment, and taking 5 times more than required to 'introduce' you to Zendrop's listing systems, or how you basically need to learn every AI package out there if you're going to succeed.

CJ don't charge you to list their items, they just want you to sell them.

It's a very good app and easy to use, however the search is not advanced enough. It is difficult to find products to match the title and there is no photo search, which there is in others. Order fulfillment takes a lot in general, the prices seem competitive though. They have lost 2-3 orders of mine but the support is well trained and offered a reorder soon after. What i would need more is better order and variant flexibility, meaning to be able to edit an order to add more or different variants and products.

I going to write very honest review no BS and will keep it very simple.

pros.
They have some good quality products but you have to do your own research to find one with proper good reviews. you'll be wasting lot of time though
customer service is great very helpful people mostly try to help.

Cons
Horrible shipping selection, very bad packaging. even the product is great their package make things worse.
again even if you find a good quality product shipping and delivery will ultimately ruin customer experience.

Suggestions.

Get rid of fake AI generated descriptions and fake pictures of the product. add a review section for sellers so they can review the product they are selling.
Improve the selection of shipping provider set some quality control which you guys always say in place but seems like not working without all of this any business is going to fail.

Final note for who are reading my review- guys dont rely entirely on any drop shipping, you can use them to fill some gaps in your product line and find some good source other than that big NO.

Zendrop has some great aspects and some really frustrating issues.

Frustrating issues:
- Their website is pretty buggy - I constantly get Error 404 Bad Gateway pages (Using Chrome / incognito / Explorer) and if I want to try and edit a linked product, there is a popup that flashes with the edit and delete options, but it literally flashes and I can never make a selection.
- Building a bundle is possible which I originally LOVED, but once built you cannot edit it, and if a variant becomes unavailable, you have to redo the whole bundle, including linking it again.
- They say there is 24/7 customer support, but its an AI chatbot and has pre-loaded options ONLY. No ability to request an actual agent for anything outside of those pre-loaded options.
- Variants that need to be edited in the order show the option for the action but always have an error on selection, and it asks you to contact support. which is the AI chatbot with pre-loaded selections...none of them being raising a support ticket.
- When you try to select a ticket to raise a new support ticket...you have no option to do so, its all very one sided.
- Email support takes several days for a response if you get one.

Good aspects
- I love the auto fulfillment when it works
- pretty good product selection
- easy to use interface most of the time
- easy to sync products and pretty instantaneous
- Easy to find product prices and SKU's etc
- Order issues are clear, not enough funds to pay / items out of stock etc. Just not easy to rectify them

If the issues could be rectified I would sing their praises but at the moment Im looking elsewhere because its so hindering for me.
