I understand this is new and maybe it's still in the developing stage, but it does not work for everyone. I have tested on 2 different stores (since I have been waiting for this launch for a year now, or since Ezra mentioned it as a possibility I got all excited).
And I know how It works, I'm an original OCU user for 2 years at least with +5 stores. I also understand the fact it does work right now ONLY with credit card payment connected to Shopify and does not work with PayPal express. But I have been hanging with customer support for close to 48 hours now. I have been re-re-reading the FAQ and the help doc for at least 10 times now. The customer service replies just with template messages (copy-paste from the same FAQ or help doc site which I've seen it 10x times already). A bit frustrating when asking something and getting a template reply (just brings back bad memories with other big brands customer service). I tried to install/uninstall + enable/disable many times and it does not work. Pre-purchase upsell is listed, but no pre-purchase offer at all. Probably it's beta and we need more time to get stable.

Thanks for reaching out! We've identified your issue and it's actually not with OCU. Shopify has a rule that you cannot have 2 "checkout" apps installed at the same time. You installed one of their other partners first and because of that OCU will not work. They are aware of this issue and they know it is effecting all of their checkout partners. If you'd like to use OCU, just uninstall the other application and you'll be good to go!

That being said I understand your frustration when trying to get help and not getting the answers you need. I see we do have a support ticket open with you and are awaiting a reply from you in it. Check your email and we can continue there. Thanks for your patience, as you can imagine support queues are a bit longer than normal during launch but we're still replying to everyone within 2 hours.

This is a very good app. I like it a lot. It's helped increase our AOV and bring in extra revenue. It also really helps on those volatile days when CVR drops, the higher AOV makes you plow through those tough days and stay afloat. My only complaint is the fact that the UI and styling is very limited (or non-existent) and you can't customize the offer/page that much - this is very frustrating. If they can improve in this area the app would be excellent

Hello SeidoKnives, thank you for the review. Glad to hear that OCU is helping you on those tough days! As for the limited stylings that is a limitation of the Shopify API. We've included every styling that Shopify will let us use. We're working with them to try and open it up more, but they want a consistent experience across all checkouts...which is why there are some limitations. In the future we hope this improves, but for now we work with what they give us. Thanks for the honest review! If you need anything, just reach out!

this app is very expensive and it charges you a percentage off the sales even for items that were cancelled or refunded. it's way too expensive!

We truly are a 5-star app and provide far more value to our merchants than the investment in our application. I'd like the opportunity to show you this! I reached out to you personally with a link to book a call with me so I can review your offers and show some improvements to get your AOV well past the point that you would be concerned about the cost of the app. I'm also happy to refund Feb billing period where the app wasn't profitable.
In regards to pricing, we have a base fee that starts at $35.00 - we charge this even if you have $0 in upsells. There is a 1% fee on top of this for upsell revenue generated. Our pricing is very fair considering that our app is a lot more powerful than the cheaper apps. Mainly, I want to focus on OCU split testing since you have great products and just need to convert more.
Do you know what was the cause of the drop in sales in Feb? It might be that the holiday season was ending at this point but it will be helpful to know if you're running paid advertising or getting a fair amount of organic traffic. 67% of upsell revenue will typically come from Post-Purchase upsells and this requires conversions to be a useful tool. I noticed your post-purchase upsells aren't discounted. We typically see a HUGE increase in conversions with a 10-30% discount.
Pre-purchase we can also split test offering a multi-product offer. This requires no discount but will get more of your products in front of customers. My recommendation here is to offer upsells to all your products. This is a key way to get more from OCU and increase your AOV.

Hello there, I personally had quite a good experience with Zipify OCU. Whenever I had a problem their customer support team really chame in clutch to save the day. Also, I feel like there are a lot of many great ways to improve the app, there's a lot more that can be added to it. Such as, having a trigger of some sorts for the post-purchase upsell that can see what initial product a customer has added to the cart, because if the customer has added 2 products to the cart and you have a funnel for both of the products but you only want to show the post-purchase upsell for that inital product it doesn't mess with the priority of the funnels and sends out the post purchase offers for the product that has a higher priority in the funnel. Hope this makes sense, I had this issue myself and there's nothing you can do about it. I had to redo the entire funnel again because of this issue and I feel like this could really be improved.

We started using OCU on our website and started getting upsells right away!

The app is very easy to set up with an intuitive interface. And it's amazingly flexible with the ability to add offers at multiple points in the funnel, prioritize offers, change the look of the offers, turn elements of the offers on and off, etc.

The app seems to work well on all the browsers we've tried, and the offer displays look slick and polished.

We haven't needed their support very much but when we did, they were fast and responsive.

Finally, the advice from Ezra is invaluable.

Overall we highly recommend this app! It is much better than several of the others we've tried.
