SEO HERO AI Alt Text Generator

We’re using this app to generate alt text for product images, and so far we’re very happy with it. What we really appreciate is the ability to customize SEO keywords and tone, so the outputs actually match our niche (barefoot footwear).

The bulk generation feature is a huge time-saver, especially with a larger catalog.

Setup was quick and easy, and the option to use metafields makes the outputs more accurate (e.g. color, product type).

Yep, they make great apps, I am using 3 of them. Because of these apps I am suddenly able to clean up a lot in our store: now all our images have proper alt text assigned to them. Alt Image text for over 7000 images, I could have never done that manually. The AI is very capable to detect what the image is about, so it is not just a description, it is a proper description

Daher bin ich sehr zufrieden mit der App. Einziges Makel der App ist die Ordnung und Filtermöglichkeit der Produkte und Bilder. Es zeigt in der Übersich alle eingefügten Produktbilder an anstatt zuerst die Produkte und dann unter dem gesuchten Produkt alle Bilder. Und bei der Filtermöglichkeit fehlt Produkte

It works exceptionally well with more general images, but with our very specific-looking products, the AI requires some manual work to correct and fine-tune the descriptions. It's a great time-saver overall, but be prepared to do some auditing if your inventory is highly niche.

I really liked that you can use the free tier and initial free credits to test out the app and make sure it works as expected. We did generations for our entire store (~7K images) and had good results. We ran into an issue with auto-generations for non-product images using all our remaining credits but the support team was quick to reply and we came to a reasonable solution for partial reimbursement of the credits used. Will continue to use it moving forward for new products but have turned off the auto-generation feature to prevent any unwanted credit usage.

Good app, quite intuitive to use and love the flexibility - a free tier to try it out, as well as options for bulk packs if you have a lot of images you need to catch up on. Also find the copy doesn't sound super AI Generative unlike some other apps I've tried.

Super helpful app. We were able to generate alt text for thousands of images quickly, and the quality is solid. Easy to use and does exactly what it promises and the price is great. Definitely worth it.
