We use this service on all of our stores.
This won't work with custom themes. It's very expensive at $180/year per site. Just one more shopify expensive app giving reason to move over to Woocommerce.
It's nice to have a back up, though I found it not super simple and was kind of frustrated when we went to actually use it. Later, we did find out it due to our customization on our theme. Would have been nice to know beforehand.
Although this review is more than 2 years old, it's important to note that we work fine with custom themes - we backup all changes to themes and the files in those themes.

I haven't had to use the restore functionality (knock on wood) but the app seems good at consistently backing up our store and keeping me abreast of exactly what the deltas are from one backup to the next.
This app makes me feel safe, I don't have to worry about making mistakes now.
Rewind is a MUST HAVE for shopify and Big Commerce. We recently moved to Shopify and have used it on both platforms. When we moved over to Shopify we made some changes to our tags and the whole shopping site went down. We restored it all in minutes with Rewind!! It's a must! Diane Inspiranza Designs
