The worst experiences ever! Very difficult to set up with unclear instructions. Worst customer services ever!!!

Unfortunately the app has changed from being free to wanting to charge me $40/month. That's a pretty big jump. Um, no thanks.
Unless you are a coder do not choose this app. There are very few videos or how-to instructionals that work for this product. The only help is via email and you can get approximately 2 responses per day. If I could get it set up properly it would probably be amazing.
Worst app we've ever used. Been with them since the start of our store - 3+ years ago and their prices keep increasing and increasing especially when their management decided to make the plan based on # of customers we have on our store, versus the usage of the app which is completely ridiculous and extortionist.
Plan went from $49 - $99 (decent for receipts and some followups) to over $350 at the time we deleted them off.
Not to mention the fact that they removed all free plans and with every move, no notice to us or probably any other customer.
Stay far away if your looking for receipts and followups, tons of alternative companies that aren't shady.

I'm sorry to hear that you feel that our pricing changes have not been communicated properly and that it isn't in-line with the improvements we've made to the product. I wanted to share a little bit of context though:
1. We first announced our pricing changes in June 2018 (with multiple emails). All of our customers were grandfathered on those plans and the initial plan was to have everyone switched by 30 June 2019. We however only made those final switches now.
2. As recently as mid-May, I emailed you directly from my personal email account about the changes. I also extended a discount and the opportunity to work with you to maximise the value you get from Conversio before the changes came into effect.
3. A quick look at your account historically shows that you earned ~$7 in additional revenue for every $1 you spent with Conversio. Even with the pricing increase, you would've still been ROI positive (something that is very important to us.)
4. Based on your mailing list size, I don't know of another solution that would've been more cost-efficient for you. I will also add that Conversio customers that uses most or all of our tools (thus simplifying their tech stack and consolidating all email-related marketing automation to Conversio) will always have a higher ROI.
If you're interested, we'd love to jump on a call and figure out how we can make both the pricing of your account and the implementation of the various tools work for you and your business. It has always been our primary goal to help our customers do profitable email marketing.

Don't get fooled by the cheap starting price. If your business grows this apps will costs you hundreds of dollars per month in no time. There are better and way cheaper options.

I've delayed replying to this review for a while, because I wanted your account to accumulate more data.
First off, CM Commerce is not unlike other email solutions that charges based on subscribers. If your # of subscribers grows, the impact of your email marketing grows and subsequently we charge you more.
I've checked your main account for your primary store and you have a 10x return in conversions compared to what you are spending on your email marketing. Considering there are few financial investments that has a 10x return in a single month, I'm optimistic about the value that we are creating.
If you need help optimizing your CM Commerce account for your secondary stores or new territories, we're here to help and would love to get you to a similar 10x (and more) return on all of your stores.

I was using this app for years... Recently, they changed it to premium only which is fine, but never let me know they would delete all of my data including feedback data if I didn't switch over (I would have exported it had I known) I expressed my disappointment and they emailed me saying it would cost $100/hr to recover the data. LOL. You decide if you would like to work with these people, I have moved on.
These guys are bait and switch. Started out a nice free receipt app with shopping cart abandonment. Then they dropped that and now you have to pay.
I wanted to like this app so bad but after the customer service I got I am completely and utterly disappointed!
My recommendation is, CHECK YOUR BILLING and the TIER they are charging you for!
Apparently the associate and according to her "part owner" said they recently changed their billing (who knew this happened?), quote her, "Our billing system looks at your average monthly orders considering all orders over 12 months." Really?
Note that they claimed on their site they charge for what "you actually use" at the end of the month. Which was not true. Their FAQs did not state any of what she was saying. She then let me know they charge at the beginning of the month now on this yearly average, which was no where explained on their website. She was glad I was able to identify this problem for them. Only after going back in forth with me and making some really "smart" rude comments about their billing system she then realized their wrong and finally agreed to refund.
I double tripled checked I was now on their FREE plan since I no longer have this as my main store and she AND shopify guaranteed me I was on the FREE PLAN.
Now forward 2 billing periods later, and over $140 dollars later they are still charging for a plan I don't use. I only realized Conversio was charging again because I went in to check my charges since they did not make sense (too high). I messaged the same lady and she said she had no idea why they (SHOPIFY) is charging but it's not them charging it's Shopify. Are you serious? The most unorganized and unprofessional company I've ever dealt with in Shopify. I am sad I experienced this with with them.
Would they run an honest (billing wise) company I would love to have used it for my other projects.
BOTTOM LINE FUTURE USERS: CHECK YOUR BILLING AND DON'T TRUST IF THE APP SAYS "FREE PLAN" THEY CHARGE EVEN IF YOU DON'T APPROVE CHARGES OR UPGRADES.
The app works totally fine, however their customer service is the worst customer service ever. They helped me with the same issue before and removed the extra contacts that I uploaded from a different marketplace. Instead of helping, they keep arguing with me. They sent me an instruction with pictures but their links are not working. If you can handle the issues that you experience, that is fine. Go ahead and download, otherwise do not download it.
I am not to happy with this app at the moment... We had the old app Campaign Monitor by CM Commerce and decided to upgrade to this their new app and it takes for ever to send out our newsletters or even test emails for workflows! The old app campaign monitor would send instantly and this app when we first started took 6 hours to send out 37,000 emails! They have upped our limit to the max that they can do but it still takes over an hour... We have reached out and they communicate through email but when asked for a meeting or a phone call they denied and can only contact through email. This is a very big inconvenience and we will probably be looking elsewhere for a new marketing app.
