We’ve been relying on this app to send Back In Stock notifications for a major product launch, a critical moment for our business. Their system completely failed to send the mass emails, leaving thousands of customers uninformed and resulting in significant revenue loss.
Despite identifying the issue ourselves and repeatedly explaining it to their team, we were ignored for days. Only after they fixed another unrelated bug did they finally acknowledge the very problem we had flagged from the start, without so much as an apology or recognition of our earlier reports.
It’s now been over four weeks, and the app still isn’t working properly. We’ve lost tens of thousands of dollars in sales due to their negligence and lack of communication.
If your business depends on reliable notifications or responsive support, stay far away from this app. It’s been one of the most frustrating and costly experiences we’ve had with any Shopify integration.
The app has not been able to export our data after 4 months forcing us to integrate and pay a new app
No answer or support
App has been broken for over a month + the customer support team stopped responding two weeks ago. The purpose of this app is to send restock emails, and it cannot do that. Last I was told, they were banned from their email client, and most of their customers probably still don't know everything stopped working.
We updated our product line and switched our products over to new SKUs as we released the new/improved products. Satendra from the support chat was so helpful in migrating our lists from the old to new SKUs. They took care of everything for us, saving so much time and making it super easy. We're really excited for our customers to be notified when the new products are in!
The back in stock is a game changer. It has helped lift our revenue while not having to consistently keep track of who is signing up for back in stock items.
Terrible customer service. The email service has not worked for over 2 weeks and they have left us hanging loosing a lot potential sales after a big restock... Wont trust them in any of their future apps if this is the way of operating.
Attention aux facturations abusives !
Nous utilisons cette application depuis un certain temps et plus de 3 000 dollars nous ont été facturés à tort principalement pour des SMS soi-disant envoyés, alors que :
1. Nous n'avons JAMAIS dépassé les limites d’envois affichées sur l’application
2. En janvier 2025, l’équipe nous a assuré par écrit que les SMS étaient désactivés pour notre compte.
Pourtant, en mars 2025, plus de 400 dollars de frais SMS nous ont encore été facturés !
Les tarifs ne sont ni clairs ni accessibles, et il est impossible de désactiver complètement cette fonction depuis l’application. Ils rejètent la faute sur shopify en vous faisant croire que c'est Shopify qui facture les SMS.
Nous considérons cela comme de la fraude pure et simple. Des remboursements ont été refusés malgré les preuves, et nous avons engagé des poursuites judiciaires.
Vérifiez vos factures ligne par ligne. Cette application facture en toute opacité et rejette la faute sur les utilisateurs.
Appikon has decided to close down this app, with no support for exporting any data. They have also not preemptively notified customers that they are shutting down. Only when I reached out to their support about some issues we found they told us about their plans to shut down. Do not use this app.

UPDATE: Unfortunately we had to delete the app. In the past month customers have stopped receiving notifications, and for some reason we have not been able to get any support with this. We have been losing sales and customer trust. Too bad as it had been a helpful, sale-boosting app before.

So far we're really enjoying this app. Customer service is impeccable, quick response times and very friendly, as well as helpful. The app is very easy to use, super easy to customize. I would love if one day it would allow for customers to sign up for an entire product, vs. only one variant at a time. Additionally, if it allowed customers to sign up for a variant that wasn't out of stock, but low on stock, (for example, if a customer needs 4 hanks of yarn but we only have 3). Although the above would really help to make the app meet all of our needs, we don't see these as a downfall. The app team is very clear about what they offer and don't offer, and have been extremely transparent and wonderful thus far. Tech support has also been very helpful via chat. We used to notify our customers manually - this app has been a huge timesaver and we think it's well worth the price!
The application works very well and the support is very helpful!
This application is a great help in managing my restocking and ensures that my customers don't miss out.
