Cleverific Order Editing

We have been using Edit Order since early in 2015 when we moved our store to the Shopify system. What impresses me most is how reliable the system works, and how they continue to enhance the app.

Since nearly all of our products require custom or personalized content, we have used the app to edit existing orders when a mistake was made entering the content. Being able to edit content without cancelling and starting over is essential to our product line, and relationship with our customers.

However, we have definitely struggled with how to manage reorders, where some of the content needed to be changed. Until this latest update to the software that allows for draft orders can be edited ... we had resigned ourselves to entering the order from scratch, even if the change was very minor. NOW, we can duplicate the previous order, save it as a draft, and then use edit order to edit the draft. Once the order is just right, we can send (email) an invoice to the customer for payment.

It is great when software solves a problem, works right, and the company is responsive to customer needs!!!

This app is fantastic! I was initially shocked to learn that there was no way to edit orders in Shopify. Finding this app was amazing, as it more than made up for this missing feature!

The edit options can be a little daunting at first, but this is only because the app can do so much. I sell customized products, and the customization details are sent through to an order management system that handle multi-channel orders. With this app, I can add line item customizations when editing an order for a customer. This lets me include that customization info on the product that is being customized.

All in all, this app is worth every penny!

Absolutely what we've been looking for!

We have so several orders were people exchange/return some styles - and this app is perfect!

This is app is critical to our business. I use it several times per week. We are constantly receiving emails from customers that they need to change a size, or color, or style, or combine shipping, etc. etc. Without this app, I would have to cancel their order and rely on the customer to place a new order. A percentage of these situations would always result in a lost sale, but not anymore.

We also offer an option for a customer to send us their measurements & then we will determine their correct size. In this instance the customer checks out with a generic SKU (Style/Color/MeasureForSize). This app allows me to enter the size that we determine for the customer and select the correct SKU in order to keep our inventory in balance.

The app also helps me keep track of returns/exchanges.

I'm surprised that Shopify doesn't have this built into their product for everyone to use. It seems like a no-brainer home run.

I wish that it worked with my Shopify POS + I wish their was an option to send the customer a bill to capture additional funds when an 'edit order' results in an additional charge. (ex: a customer decides to change their order for a less expensive style to a more expensive style). As far as I know the app only allows you to issue refunds, and not request additional funds.

*Update after more than 2 years of using this plugin, I still rely on it multiple times per week.
-Edit Order now offers the functionality to request additional funds from a customer. This is an terrific enhancement. Thank you!
-I would still like to see the Edit Order functionality built into the POS software.

We use this app for creating/customising offline orders - the latest release of the app has enabled us to set pre-designated custom attributes (we use 5 fields to capture marketing consent and 'gift aid' status (UK tax relief for charities, and 5 custom fields for product configuration) - this new workflow has dramatically increased speed and accuracy for our backend operators!

I spent about 2 hours trying to find out how I as a distributor can create an invoice for the shipping part of an order that needed to be separately. There is no place to do that. Finally I called the software provider and Josh from customer service walked me through the process. I tried "everything" I could come up with, but I was supposed to create a draft not a final order. Okay, now I know it for the future. Thank you Josh for your help. Peter.

Solves a huge problem in the Shopify platform (not being able to edit orders) and does it easily and affordably. The app has lots of options but is still straightforward and easy to use.

They even just added to ability to collect additional money from a customer if they want to add something to their order.

Great APP, and customer service. It is an essential app to solve the natural deficiency of Shopify inability of freedom on order editing. Edit Order by Cleverfic will cover all the areas that native shopify don't. I've been using it since 2017 and they are always improving and open to our feedback as user.
