The team who now run Evey reached out and scheduled a call with me. The genuinely wanted to understand the challenges and want to make it right. Seems like a great team behind the scenes and look forward to the issues below being cleaned up and future enhancements. Original:
This app is plagued with errors. My most recent event I used the recurring event feature and had it oversell by 20% of the limit I set. I was really hopeful with their reserved. Here are the issues I have had over the past couple weeks:
- Orders not fullfilling
- Overselling - which they have a number of reasons for this but cannot get it fixed
- People purchasing a ticket in a recurring event and it does not force them to choose a time so they gave us money but cannot get a ticket as no time was selected. Had to refund these tickets as they purchased the day of and we couldn't confirm in time.
- Check-in app doesn't allow us to select a time in a recurring event to just check people in for that. We were suggested to check an option that only allows people to check in "during the event time" however then half of the tickets wouldn't check in and we would get error messages so we had to disable that. - Inaccurate reporting - one section says we sold x tickets, another sections says a completely different number. I know the customer service team is trying to help and I really hate to write a review like this but I have wasted at least 10-15 hours in the last week alone going back and forth with their customer support trying to get things working properly. And I look like a fool to our customers and our event partners because I cannot give accurate reporting and all the issues we are having.

The issues you experienced are not in line with the support we provide (just read our other reviews, we really pride ourselves in our service and product). July 11 update: We've chatted with this merchant and are working super hard to help him. Also, we like him a lot as a person and want him to be our friend. :)
Really enjoying the full integration of sales thru Shopify which streamlines the event-browsing and ticket-buying experience for my customers. Also, having the tickets directly thru Shopify, keeps the customer on my website instead of sending them to a 3rd party ticket site. Excellent support staff has answered my questions and fixed things for me in a jiffy. Thank you!

I was struggling with a multiple choice Attendee Information question and am so happy with the customer service! They really took the time to test and figure out what was happening. I installed the Evey app a week ago, after playing for a while I realized it was almost perfect for our ticket-selling business, so I deleted all the others that I was testing. As far as I have been able to test and compared to the other ticketing apps, Evey is, by far, the best. And his support, second to none (Jason has been helping us set up the app, including some custom features without charging, he is amazing). I am so pleased with this app, keep up the good work ;)

Very happy with the tech team sorting out my issue (Zac) took a little longer than expected but glad it's done! My only issue was the slow response from Customer services (emails only) and having to chase them for updates regularly. Otherwise, it's good.

Good, but missing features that would make it great. Evey has definitely reached a minimum viable product, but sluggish support with a lot of "No, we will take the into consideration..." makes me wish they weren't the only company doing this on Shopify. Maybe some competition would allow this to be a truly dynamic Events plugin. Importing CSV functionality is pretty bare bones. Would be nice if you could download a template spreadsheet fill in the columns (including custom fields) and import. The supplied custom field functionality for the cart page was a nice addition, but doesn't go far enough by also including this custom field functionality to the manual attendee option. If you take registrations offline and need to collect more attendee information than Name/Email/Variation Type, you are at a loss for a solution. Also the check-in portion of the app seems to serve little or no additional purpose other than gauging attendance. You cannot add info to the guest at checkin, which would be a huge addition here, although I understand that might be an edge case scenario. With a lot of manual work this plugin will temporarily work for our Race Event Services, but with over 5 events going at any given time $100/month seems like a fairly steep price to pay for a product that doesn't fully streamline my attendee processing.
The product does what I needed for tickets to our museum and will be helpful for all of the events that will be going on at the museum. The team was very helpful in helping to make sure that the theme I had worked with their app.

Terrible experience. The app is good, but if you have questions; your event will happen first before you get an answer from them, it is so frustrating. I ended up deleting this app. And also technical issues happended, like people trying to purchase tickets from their devices and only worked on the laptop, no way! Or maybe was just me with these situations, I hope it works for others. Good luck!
