A couple months ago I used the Shopify app to set up the Facebook and Instagram stores whereupon FB promptly flagged my store due to not meeting their commerce criteria, whatever that is. They don't make it easy to find out why, either. The process is so convoluted it takes hours hunting down the issues, and nothing has been resolved. My guess is it has to do with the Shopify feed including items that are in draft status, have no inventory, or ineligible (gift certificates, apparently)... so then why are they included??? This is the exact sort of problem I count on an app to avoid. I don't get much traffic from FB anyway, so didn't bother with it again until recently. I contacted FB who provided some guidance. I managed to find and delete the problem items, but they still have my store flagged... I sent them a screen shot showing no issues and asked what to do next. They just resent me the same info as before. After reading other recent reviews, I'm deleting the app... not worth the aggravation.

Horrible. All the sales channels that shopify offers are so frustrating.
I opened the google one a week or so ago. so many problems. Stupidly i thought let me try facebook channel. Spending the half hour it takes to set up the account isn't an issue. It's getting the you've been banned..... Like hello what is wrong with your company. I literally just added some info. I don't know if i did every step correctly but my god...so frustrating.
I understand that this wasn't shopify's fault. I'm just letting others no what they can be in for if the get this channel. Update: Totally banned by facebook. They don't let you know why. Very frustrating.

I understand that you were seeing some kind of ban or disapproval on your Facebook accounts in the channel. These are actually decisions made by Facebook directly, and not something Shopify has control over. i have tried this 2 different times in total since i started my business ans this by far is so unnecessary steps, I followed every step just to connect facebook so all my platforms are sync but forget this facebbok connection it is one huge headache

I have been trying to contact someone for 10 days on both facebook support and shopify and like the reviews before mine, I am having an issue with shopify syncing with my facebook shops. Orders are not syncing tracking numbers and I can not capture payments. Its frustrating enough that I am not able to make more sales because I can not capture payments, I am hoping someone from Shopify or facebook can resolve this, if they can then it would be an amazing tool, and channel, but if you cant even sync your orders with tracking numbers or capture payments, then why would one want to go into business. I am already at loss because my payments cant be captured.

FACEBOO IS A VERY COMPLICATED APP... YOU SELL SIMPLE PRODUCTS AND THEY DON'T ACCEPT THEM.
OTHERWISE IT'S FINE THE APP WORKS WELL BUT THEY ARE TOO STRICT WITH THE WRONG PEOPLE
