I am experiencing difficulty connecting my Facebook account. Despite attempting to link a different Facebook account, the app continues to display the previous account, even after disconnecting it. The error persists despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue.

i am trying to add Meta pixel and it is not showing me option to create a pixel in the facebook channel also its not reachable through preferences.

Hello,
We have a store on Facebook BUT THERE'S NO WAY to access it now. Our website moved to other Shopify address, and the store is linked to the old Shopify address. When I tried to link Facebook in a new Shopify store it said that I must go to the old store and unlinke the Facebook sales channel, I did that and after that came back and now the error massage says "These assets are already linked to a shop. Since you don’t have permission to edit the catalog connected to this shop, a Business Manager admin must assign you Manage catalog permissions to continue.", but my page IS AN ADMIN. What admin permissions are you referring to if I have the admin role of the page I am trying to reconnect to a new Shopify store ( with the same products); I need to access my Instagram and Facebook store to edit prices ( or relink it fully so the pricing is up to date) but the IG/FB store is NOT ACCESSIBLE through meta business suite AT ALL! The help support on Shopify ( as they mention it will be provided by Meta for those who use this as point of sales) is giving Error page. This all is very frustrating.

Meta is just absolute crap and a massive headache for every single steps that should be easy. To try and start just simply advertise from your Facebook page and get the ad data connected to your shopify is taking me days. First the meta business page was lagging and bugging making me do the same rhings over and over, then once I finally manage to create the pixel and went to install the Facebook and instagram app on my shopify, it started to bug again. After 4 time uninstalling et re installing that horrible app, I managed to connect my store after creating a facebook business account ( thought just my page with my facebook account would be enough but no, has to be another dam account ) DAMM ! I thought I'd be ok then but NOOOO Facebook restricted my business account, probably because its too new ( which doesn't make sense really), I am now unable to complete the connection settings between shopify and facebook and have to wait 24h for a review after providing a code received on my phone and my identity document photo. This is really a joke considering how much money that business is doing, they can't even make basic settings simple for people, they over complicate everything and cross everything together making you go back and forth between platforms non stop for a very simple task. All I wanted was to see the results of my advertising with shopify, nothing else. If I ever manage to get to the point where facebook let me advertise and the connection with shopify works ( pretty sure something will go wrong again) I surely WON'T authorise facebook to sell my products directly on my facebook page because I bet you these sales will be catastrophic and customers will run away, surely there will be problems with payment and order fulfillment etc. A shame from start to finish

I have added the app trying to connect but it could not connect to shopify business manager as I could not transfer ownership of the facebook page that I own to the Shopify Business Manager. Waste of time. At the end my private facebook account has been disabled. I would not use facebook anymore for marketing. I will use google ads instead is much simpler and straightforward.

Should have taken notice of the reviews. Went through the whole set up, after setting up a whole new FB account and Business account, seemed to go round in circles for an hour and then get told “Your advertising access is restricted” for a mystery reason. I’d like those few hours of my life back please!

DO NOT INSTALL AT ALL COSTS! Adding the Facebook pixel to my stores used to be easy... now it's impossible due to this app. It 'making things easier' just made things terrible. EDIT: My Facebook account just got banned 2 hours after installing this app. Thanks for messing everything up, I don't know how to run ads anymore. Wow. All my accounts gone.

This change will allow for increased control over how you collect customer data and what is collected.
