Confused on how to set up and use. Not user friendly. Very complicated. I just backed out and will not set it up.

I just connected Facebook to my Shopify store. I liked how the steps were so clear, making the process easy.
when i got my head around what to do it was fairly simple. Now the work begins.
I am old so maybe thats the reason for the time taken
Easy to set up once you have your product in your Shopify store. If you want to "customize" your FB/Instragam Shop, that takes time and you have to do that yourself (create collections and customize your FB Shop), otherwise, as long as you have the sales channel checked in your listing, it auto-populates. The only pain for a time was getting it to connect for Facebook Marketing (connecting the ad account)
great stuff and very helpful when setting up an online ecom business. very lucky to have the level of experts to help me.
