Shopify Flow

Stark improvements in the past year, it feels like it's headed in the right direction. It would be great if we could trigger flows with webhooks though.

It's great if you have familiarity with logic trees! It can do a lot and connect to external apps, which is super helpful for automations. It's saved us a lot of time! The only downside is that the templates are not always easy to edit or implement.

Awesome app. My complaint so far is that dealing with order fulfilments can be really tricky. It's just not intuitive, and half the things I want to do I just can't figure out. Like I was trying to items in an order into different fulfillments. I wanted to put the preorder items seperate from the instock items so that the instock items could be shipped now. I couldn't figure out how to do it, and ended up having to write some code to edit the orders via the shopify api myself..

I love Flow, but it needs some major improvements still. For example, it can trigger flow when things are created, but doesn't have the same for when something is made inactive, deleted or expired. Another example is for Discounts app. It can trigger a flow if the discount is created, but doesn't let you set it for the Discount that is created if you want to set the trigger for the start date, and/or the end date. If I could, i create a Flow to add a tag to all products listed in the Discount when the Discount starts, and then remove the tag when it ends.

Missing : better debug options , better loop, multi-branching (being able to have multiple output of a single action), better branching (being able to merge from a branch to another)

Great, but we need more customisation option when it comes to User UI when desinging the template for our Customers email inbox

steep learning curve but very useful Would be ideal if there is a bit more explanation in to different steps when clicking variables

I still need to do more research on what templates are already available and how to use them best. The system has been working well, and I can set up automations easily.

It was initially very itimidating because the conditions looks like a lot of code. However, I was able to figure it out because I searched for a specific condition rather than scrolling through all the code. This search function allowed me to bypass all the jargon and made it easy to set up my simple flow.

It offers a wide range of possibilities and can cover very complex needs, but the technical setup is often difficult to manage or figure out, and support assistance is usually required.
