The new version of the App includes a pop-up that appears to each visitor with a fix text that can not be changed, saying: "This shop sends to (your country), check alternatives to shipping (your country)" First of all we are not a shop, we are a educational institution. Second, we sell digital products (courses), so our customers do not need to "receive" nothing. It is a must for us to edit the text that appears in the popup to write what applies to our business. ¿When will you allow it? Thank you.

Hi there, thank you for this feedback. We have heard similar pieces of feedback from other merchants, and while this has been built with physical products in mind at the moment, we will be looking at how we can expand this into other products like digital/subscriptions in the future.

WHY can we NOT customize this popup? I need to customize it. Implement more features pls, otherwise 1 star only.

I have only 2 countries set up in my checkout settings, when I activated this app I had it tested in other countries other than those that I have set, yet it still has that welcome message assuring the visitor that we ship to their country, which we don't!! This confusion can lead to bad reviews!! Please fix!!

It is very frustrating for users. The X button should not trigger the "Continue" action. When they click on the X it is because they don't want to change their language, however, the component triggers the language change, and the whole page refreshes, which is annoying for users that live abroad.

Not able to customize the content or anything. Also can not set up geo-based content. So no use in using this app.

I used to like this app when it was a discreet selector. Now a giant annoying pop up. Very disappointing change

Hi Jacqueline, this change was made after we tested the pop up and found that it improved conversion rates, and also improved the rate at which customers check out in their local currency. I cannot get this app to work. It tells me I need to set up countries/regions to use it, but these are greyed out? The help page does not help at all.

Using the Geolocation app is supported for merchants using Shopify Payments - if you are unable to select multiple countries/regions or they are greyed out, it sounds as though you are using another gateway. stay away from shopify's thing and their apps!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 1. they sell themes incompatible with their native features (those themes selling in official theme store) and the support reject to do ANY kinds of follow-up; 2. this geolocation app has a lot of flaws - it doesn't detect customer's location and did not save customer's preference. Now I am hoping there is a better competitor to Shopify. *Crying*

The app was installed automatically while I was looking at the market section on Shopify. The app lacks everything, is not smooth to adapt, and doesn't work every time. This needs a lot of improvement even to be released to merchants. The idea is great but the application is bad. The ideal scenario is to make something smooth without pop-ups and everything so it redirects each customer to their own country/currency if we select that to happen.

Update- The thing related to what you have shared is that the app doesn't really direct people to their own country-language-currency. It works some times and some times doesn't.

Recommendations:

1. Have a video that showcases how to set up-make it work. The guide Shopify offer is not very clear. We don't know if languages will be translated automatically, same for currencies.
2. If not, should we translate every word for each language? Every time?
3. The app doesn't match or sync with the theme's aesthetics. For example, our theme uses a currency selector, the app just adds another one instead of syncing them together.

The idea scenario is to have an app that we just can customize, and just translates everything in terms of currency, and languages to each country and works 100% of the time so we can be sure it's working properly. I don't believe the popup at the beginning is a good idea, either this is to be shown at the footer or be done automatically.
