Products are in Merchant Center but shows "0 products" in the Shopify app sales channel. Products then randomly drop out of Merchant Center into the void, not showing up in "Needs Attention" and with no history of what products are gone or what happened. The AI chatbot pretends to be helpful, knows nothing and displays over the buttons it tells you to push. I'll just count Merchant Center out of my business plan because this is literally the worst-engineered app I have ever had the displeasure of needing to use.

Stay far away from this app. It has made my life a nightmare. Yes, I understand there are dishonest people out there, but there are plenty of honest people too. I have spent a month fixing and patching and reading and running in circles. Now my merchant center is messed up and google ads stopped because my account is suspended. I, like many are thoroughly frustrated with Google and it lack of user-friendly features. This app is the icing on a really bad cake. I am surprised at Google. I hope thus review is published and I hope it saves others from the unnecessary pain cause by Google and this app.
This app has disconnected itself from my Shopify store. The links do not work either to be able to decipher yourself what might be wrong.
Hi - we had an outage yesterday that affected the Google & YouTube UI, which resulted in certain links or modules not loading properly. Rest assured, no product syncing or ad campaigns were affected during this outage, it was only an issue with loading the app on Shopify and may have shown itself as broken links, blank pages, or missing modules. This was resolved after about an hour and you shouldn't have any issues today.
I also took the time to personally check your shop's integration and nothing was disconnected, and product updates still worked during this outage window. We apologize for the interruption!

This is by far the worst Shopify sales channel I have ever used.
The Google & YouTube app gives the illusion that everything is connected and working, but behind the scenes, nothing actually functions. Products can be active, published, priced, categorized, correctly configured with all required Google metafields, shipping, weight, and inventory — and yet Google Merchant Center receives absolutely nothing. No products, no timestamps, no diagnostics, no errors. Just silence.
The most unacceptable part is that the system provides no feedback at all when the feed does not push. Merchant Center simply shows “0 products” with no explanation, and the Shopify app gives no warnings, logs, or troubleshooting tools. You are left guessing whether the problem is configuration, Google, Shopify, or the app itself.
Support is essentially nonexistent. There is no clear documentation for edge cases like small catalogs or single‑product stores, no way to manually force a feed refresh, and no meaningful error reporting. You can waste hours or days doing everything “correctly” only to find out the integration never fired in the first place.
This app feels designed exclusively for large bulk merchants and completely hostile to small or careful sellers. A production‑level sales channel should never fail silently. This is not a minor bug — it is a fundamental design failure.
Avoid this app unless you are prepared for frustration, wasted time, and zero transparency.

Used name: abccompany.com
Business Info in GMC, Store Name in shopify, etc is ABC Company (not abccompany.com)
GMC & Google Ads Support are not helpful at all

Bad experience. Our account has been stuck in misrepresentation for 3 months for no reason!!!. although we are expert with Google Merchant Center, but their support has been very unhelpful and they are wasting our time, money, and effort.
This app is extremely disappointing and poorly maintained. The system feels incomplete and full of unresolved issues. Data synchronization is unreliable, often delayed, and sometimes inaccurate, which makes it difficult to manage products or receive proper feedback in a timely manner.
What makes the situation worse is the lack of meaningful support. When problems occur, the feedback provided by the system is vague and unhelpful, leaving users guessing about what actually needs to be fixed. Instead of helping merchants improve their stores, the app often creates confusion and unnecessary obstacles.
For a platform backed by a company as large as Google, the quality and usability of this app are far below expectations. The limited functionality and unclear error reporting can easily lead users into dead ends where there is no clear way to resolve issues.
Overall, the experience is frustrating and unreliable. Merchants who depend on stable tools to manage their business will likely find this app more problematic than helpful.
