I will update this review to 5-stars if and when a representative from Google and/or Shopify provides a satisfactory explanation for why my tax settings to change from "No sales tax specified for any U.S. states" to "Sales tax specifiied for all U.S. states". Sales tax should be automatically or manually synced like Shipping settings. This bug has been present in the app for years and should be fixed asap.
Wrong! Google displays estimated sales tax in all cases, including when the merchant does not collect sales tax on some or all states. Again, the app shoudl follow the store's tax settings.
Hello an thank you for leaving the feedback regarding how tax settings are applied with the Shopify and Google integration. This is actually by design to prevent policy violations of merchants showing a higher price on their site versus Google.
A workaround that you can apply that should solve your issue is to apply tax settings directly in Google Merchant Center. After your initial linking of accounts between Shopify and Google, we will not overwrite your tax settings applied in Merchant Center. I love this extension, makes it really easy to not only publish feeds but also setup conversions out of the box. After upgrading to Shopify Checkout Extensibility, I've encountered issues with Google Ads purchase conversion tracking not functioning correctly. Does this extension maintain compatibility with Shopify Checkout Extensibility?

For any future users, if you want to be successful using this app and prevent your products from being disapproved, please note the following:
1.) After enabling this app and connecting your merchant center, head over to the overview page then click on manage products. This will open a bulk editor, do not confuse this with Shopify's bulk editor, be sure all your products have SKU values if they don't have GTIN values, please note the SKU value can be anything (as long as it's unique).
2.) Make sure all your product titles do not have any non-product related words like (Amazing, Best, Introducing, etc..).
3.) All your product images should be at least 500px by 500px (SQUARE), they should not be blurry or contain anything other than the product on a white background.
4.) Make sure to add as many details as you can in the manage products bulk editor in this app.
5.) Keep your product descriptions clean and simple, do not reference other brands, do not claim false things and keep it only related to the product. Make sure to add the most important product points in the first 160 - 500 characters.
Following these 5 simple notes, this app will work like a charm! Easy to use and track your products.
