I like this app because it helps my customers reach me in real time. But I would like if they are able to show me the title and image of the items they are inquiring about. Currently they are able to say the title of the item but no image of it shows.

Decent. I don't understand why we can only set one set of hours per day in the settings. We're not allowed lunch times? Right now I can only say open from and then closed. It would be a lot more useful if I can send a different message (away message) for our lunch time.

It is possible to set an away message within Inbox, and when you set it to active the message will automatically send to customers. Hi, I find the Inbox App generally pretty good. The main issue I get is that as I access the Inbox from various devices sometimes the sync between them all doesn't seem to be consistent. Also I find that messages remain unread and flagged as such on the App icon, even after they have been read. This seems to relate to the sync issue. Besides that it is a handy business tool and I would recommend people to try it.

We like it... but there are a few things we would like to share.
1) We have 3 stores and it's VERY hard to switch between each chat. We have to log out of each store and then log into the 1 store we want to chat with.
2) When the conversation is done it would be great to have a "copy conversation" button. We have a database and we save all customer conversations.
3) We have 3 people who respond to messages.... it would be great when the conversation is closed an email goes out stating that so the other agents know it has been handled and no need to long in and respond.
Honestly, its a great app. I've tested a few and this one seems the best in terms of functionality, reliability, easy of use, mobile access.... We uninstalled after the meaningly update to button design and PLACEMENT. The new design options are childish and since we cannot adjust distance from corners, we have had to set up other buttons based off where this button lands.. The update not only changed the design but also the placement, now all out buttons are out of wack. Its too much work to go in, every time the developer decided to change thing up, and adjust the other buttons.
Also in response to the review where "The app creates customer profiles on its own, so when the customer goes to create an account, it says "this email is already in use".". The developer response is spot on! The customer can click "forgot password", on the login page, to initiate the process of resetting or creating a password
it has many glitches, I m not sure, it will beep then nothing comes up then after a while you will see a messge.
Some simple updates could make this a good App. (1) The mobile App shows the page that the customer is on, but it's not a link (at least on the Android App), so you have to write down the product info, then go to your store admin and type it in all over again - Why not make it a hyperlink? (2) It doesn't support multilingual for FAQs, etc. so, it's awkward in multilingual stores, (3) How about "Forward conversation to E-mail" to allow conversations to be transferred to e-mail off chat for conversations that need attachments, etc.
I would have given it a 5 star, but reason for not giving a 5 star that it is missing on a very basic feature of attaching files thru desktop version on chat with customers. A customer sitting at home uses mobile for shopping in most of the cases and a seller is almost working on laptop/desktop as he has to see many reports/excel sheets/ files etc. attaching files is only available on mobile chat (as informed by shopify support).
Great basic chat support system, native to shopify. Would like to see a few things before moving to Shopify Inbox full time.
1. Initiate ticket via email. If your customers email you for support, you can't use Shopify Inbox. All tickets must be initiated in chat first.
2. Shopify Inbox recently lost the ability to connect to social media messengers like Instagram and Facebook, as well as Apple's iMessage. This was a big step back; hopefully it returns.
3. Shopify Magic surfaced answers. Right now, Magic is only used for the merchant to pre-fill quick answers that the customer needs to click. The AI should be able to pull answers from around the website, such as product pages, blog articles, policies, etc.
