App has worked great from the start, and customer support is the best I've ever gotten with a Shopify app. Five stars, absolutely.
We have been using this app for some time now and it has been a real lifesaver. We ship a lot of products that have restrictions and cannot be shipped by air, no problem, we only have to add a tag to the product and it will restrict the shipping choices to the allowed method. We aren't using true cubic shipping but we have set up scenarios where we tag products that are light but bulky so that it calculates the shipping using different package sizes thereby returning a more accurate shipping charge. In short, its very versatile and has allowed us to stop loosing money on bulky items without having to pad weights. I also really like the fact that it is easy to troubleshoot errors because you can see any instance where no rate was returned and see the reason for the error (missing product weight, invalid zip code, etc.) The support has also been very good.

Best support I've seen anywhere! This is also a very powerful app and gives you full control over every aspect of your shipping procedures. After trying out most of the shipping apps on the shopify store this is by far my favorite.
I love this app! I have tried almost every shipping app in the store... yes, I've probably tried that one and none of them are as reliable and straightforward as Intuitive Shipping. In fact, the only thing better than the app, is the customer service. Joel is extremely helpful, responsive, transparent, and friendly. I wish that he could be my CS rep for all of my apps.
For whatever reason, my company has some of the most complicated shipping rules that have ever existed. I've driven other developers to the edge of crazy, but, to my recollection, Joel was able to accomplish every single one of my tasks with grace. He wasn't stumped for longer than a few seconds and if something couldn't be done the initial way I thought it should be, he helped me find a solution, every time of which, was better than the original.
Do NOT waste your time trying others. Just simply use Intuitive Shipping! I guarantee you will be happy you did.
Update: We have been using this app for a few months now and it's been working flawlessly. Paul is an absolute star and a pleasure to deal with! Prompt and informative customer service. If you are in need of an app to help with shipping rates look no further. Highly recommend. Easy to use and great customer service received from Sherry! At first, it can be a bit tricky to get the scenario right but once you understand how it works it's very easy!

After working with Intuitive Shipping for a few years, I can say that it is the most flexible, most capable shipping cost calculation app currently available. Once everything is set up correctly, the calculations work very reliably.
As with everything in life, there are some areas that could still be improved. For example, ZIP code brackets for various US states would be helpful for the initial set up. These must currently all be defined by hand, which can be tedious. The rule definition itself can also be complicated but Intuitive Shipping's support is top notch so figuring things out still works reasonably quickly. It would also be helpful to be able to sync or copy shipping rules across different shops. This is currently not possible and makes setting up more than one shop labor intensive. Last but not least, the plugin is pricey.

We understand that setting up and managing settings across multiple stores can be challenging. Currently, syncing and copying settings from one store to another isn't feasible due to technical limitations. Each Shopify store is assigned a unique Shop ID, and each Shop ID is required to be connected to Intuitive Shipping separately. Our team is always exploring new ideas and working with Shopify to improve the overall experience. If this capability becomes available in the future, our team will reach out.

We reached out to Intuitive when we realized that Shopify's shipping feature wouldn't cut it for the complicated shipping scenarios of our B2B website. We are among the early adopters of Shopify B2B and Intuitive did not have an out-of-the-box solution for our percentage-based shipping tiers. However, Intuitive's team worked very closely with our web developer to ensure their app works on our checkout page. Their work ensured that we could launch our website with confidence. The app itself has several conditional rules that would fit the needs of most businesses. Their customer service is extremely responsive and follows through to make sure the solution is implemented. I cant say I have worked with many app support teams but the people I have dealt with here are all you could want. Knowledgeable, quick to reply, happy to keep helping as you are setting it up and testing. Really top notch, and super friendly.
As for the app, if you are sending overseas and being charged by weight or volume, its an absolute no brainer. This app easily pays for itself after a couple of orders. Once you get your head around it, easy to use and understand. Very happy with the app and the team who support it.

Intuitive Shipping has tons of options and functionality that make it possible to do just about anything you need. Their support team is one of the best out there, they respond to your requests within one day and we typically have our issue worked out within a day. Most of the time it is just a setting we forgot to change on our end, they are very helpful at identifying the items that need to be updated so you can have your desired shipping experience. I'd recommend this tool to anyone that needs to customize their shipping process and will continue to use it for all future clients that need the functionality.
