So far everything looks great. We just installed the app, so time will tell of course. Support was extremely fast and helpful when I ran into a snag during the install.
*Update 1/4/24*
Woke up this morning and 817 reviews were duplicated on our website 23 hours ago. Contacted support and Mohamed was absolutely infuriating. He tried pushing the blame on to us for importing the reviews. We have literally been driving for the past two days and have not made any changes to our website or any of the apps installed. He kept telling us to turn off the Shop App syndication setting. Fine, that will remove the duplicates. BUT that will also prevent any new reviews collected by the Shop App from being published. So why, all of a sudden yesterday, did the Shop App syndication become a problem? And why would you try to push the blame on the customer? Nothing was changed on our end.
Hi there, thank you for your feedback.
Our team has been looking into the issue and was able to find the root cause. Both the reviews from Shop App and from Judge.me should be showing normally now, without duplications.
Our apologies for the duplicated reviews and for making you feel like it was your fault. We will make sure this won't happen again.
1.Why are the commenters for each comment the same name, and the name will change, eventually becoming the last customer name for the comment; 2.The comments on the website are very slow, and the comments have not been displayed for three days.
Hi Casi Dress,
Founder and CEO of Judge.me here. I tried calling you to answer your questions, but your phone number didn't work so please allow me to answer via a review reply here.
1) This is happening because you are creating reviews with the same email address. If you create reviews with different email address for each review, then the name will be different for each review.
Note: Different email address can be as simple as example@me.com, example+1@me.com, example+2@me.com, etc, which all go to example@me.com but are technically different email addresses.
2) Our reviews are stored in Shopify metafields so they will load as fast as any other part of the Shopify website. If reviews don't show while you expect them to, this may be because you have autopublish for new reviews disabled, meaning you need to approve each review from the admin manually (or of course turn autopublish on).
Please reach out to our customer support, we have 24/7 teams available to help you. We can go on a call with screen share to help you with any questions or confusion you have about our app.
Hope to hear from you soon!
That is a good app for upload review, I even use it with aliexpress review importer before, but it slow down my app speed so I deleted it.
The app would be fine except the website is slowing down too much. Other than that it was fine for reviews.
Hi,
Founder and CEO of Judge.me here.
Our apps load via metafields (same host/speed as rest of your Shopify page) and all our files are loading from a dedicated CDN network (KeyCDN).
Our support will reach out to you to go over your concerns.
Not a bad app in regards to features and use, however this one app increaed my page load time by 5.4 seconds. (waiting for cdn.judge.me)
Test on pingdom.com with app - 8.26 seconds,
Test on pingdom.com after removing app - 1.23 seconds
In the internet of today that is an astronomical increase, and makes this app entirely unusable for any store. Suggest everyone test to make sure that this doesn't keep occurring
Wish the app had a better UI and customization in the emails. The support is extremely helpful. Recommend it. EDIT: Make the app more customizable. Terrible customization.
I signed up for Judge.me and immediately had issues with the formatting of the reviews on our PDPs. It is now the third day in a row where they claim to fix the issues, I check later, and the issues are still there or now exist somewhere else. Giving them another chance before I switch to a different app.
Thank you for giving us another chance to work with your store. Our team lead has reached out and will make sure the issue is fully resolved.
Looking forward to continue growing with you!
Great customer support.
However, it was no good for us as they don't allow you to change star shape from rounded to hard edges. So it has a pretty cheap look and feel to it. Perhaps good for dropshipping stores but not higher end products.
Hi there!
Thank you for your feedback.
The star shapes bare Judge.me branding so we don't support changing it from rounded to hard edges by default. However, it can be achieved with Javascript and CSS.
If you're feeling technical or have a developer with you, we're very happy to share with you some tips and tricks to make this happen.
I hoped it will make it easy to import reviews from Etsy, Trustpilot and eBay (and maybe Google Shopping and Amazon too if we needed) but all I can see is some unknown integrations (for us in the UK at least) or the possibility of doing it manually via CSV.
I suppose Judge.me is more like a Trustpilot competitor and not really focussed enough on bringing in reviews from other platforms and marketplaces as well, despite the customer support insisting that thats their best feature.
There is a way to read Etsy reviews as long as we also install the paid Shuttle app which we don't need as we do already integrate with Etsy via Shopify Marketplace Connect.
In comparison, the Fera Product Reviews App makes it fairly easy to import the JSON file with reviews we download from Etsy.
Fera also imports easily our reviews from Trustpilot and Google Shopping which Judge.me claim are covered by copyright.
While for eBay and Amazon, despite the same copyright excuse, the Opinew Product Reviews App UGC can also import easily our reviews from these marketplaces.
It is a shame though that none of these apps can do the job fully and properly. :(
The Judge.me chat support person told me that we can import the reviews manually via CSV and do it easily with their AliExpress integration. But we're not interested in AliExpress at all while apps like this are meant to help towards automating things not doing manually. I can get ChatGPT to write for me the code for my own app and do it manually...
This app is not for us at all and I'm frankly disappointed given the many positive reviews but I'm taking it that most people use it the same way we use Trustpilot.
Thank you so much for your detailed review! We understand the importance of centralizing your reviews from different sources to your Shopify store.
Unfortunately, as our agent mentioned, a lot of these marketplaces (Amazon, Trustpilot,...) claim copyright on their reviews, and while it's still possible to import them, it's always best to be cautious.
Having said that, our team is in the process of making it easier to import from platforms without copyright concerns. We'll first start with accepting JSON file from Etsy and expand from there.
We have reached out to you to discuss this further and we would love to hear more of your feedback on how we could improve this to benefit you and other merchants.
I did a few tests and each time the name was automatically changed on the reviews. Why??
