So far I am thoroughly impressed with this app. I run a mostly made-to-order artisan/handmade product business and have spent the last several months looking and trying various inventory management/ERP systems in order to get us away from spreadsheets.
This app cleanly does what no other previous (and pricey) systems have been been able to do as intuitively - allows me to track raw materials, our entire production process step by step, and easily see which orders are ready to be shipped if their made-to-order components are already completed or in stock from previous batches, or if the order still in the production process.
Working within the app is lightning fast and is a very user friendly experience. Great resources, video tutorials and knowledge base to assist in the set up process.

Katana is an amazing app for any business owner looking to manage inventory. It integrates perfectly with Shopify and allows you to seamlessly manage orders and inventory. Katana is a MUST HAVE, better than any MRP system I have used.

Every time I install they jumble up all of my inventory, in some cases add 20+ items to 300 different skus! what a headache.

The integration is powerful and can make syncs both ways, so be sure on what you select/deselect on initial integration — you can always empower more options later!

I installed this app and in a matter of minutes the app changed and modified all my inventory in all the locations in my store with no sense, manual adjustments up and down in all the products for no reason, I had to correct the inventory manually after uninstalling the app.
Hi, sorry to hear you had troubles with the inventory sync!
The default settings when setting up the integration is for the sync to work only one way, from Shopify to Katana and therefore for your situation to have zero chance of happening, with data only flowing to Katana not from it.
There is an option to turn on the sync two-way, which must have been selected during the installation.
We recommend to only select this option after fully understanding the integration, and when you are confident in your Katana data (which must also be present for a two-way sync) as the integration is powerful and does sync both ways, once enabled.
