I think it's very shady that Klaviyo instantly charges more for additional email recipients beyond your plan level, but that when you clean your list, the plan cost stays at the higher level - unless you dig into the settings and change it back down.
A message should come up when 'Active' users drops below your biling level to ask if you want to lower your plan level. It's clearly to maximise revenue - but in an underhand way.

If you ever get hacked, do not expect the customer support to help you. I have been using Klaviyo since 2021. Recently my account was hacked and after numerous emails to customer support, I have not received any help, other than them telling me that my account is not associated with the email I'm trying to use for my login. DUH ! That's the whole problem. It was changed. I will now have to uninstall this app, lose thousands of my customers emails, which I built up for the last eight years, as well as tell my bank to block these people from taking money out of my account. Thanks a lot.

in sort of a nightmare situation now with adding our domain email and changing DNS records. all of our emails are landing in spam. Klaviyo said it was because we lost the confidence of the consumer... not true. this all happened in a week as we were trying to change our email.
support is zero help. we said we would need to switch email companies as being without our email marketing for weeks would seriously impair our business, they simply say... sorry to lose you. we literally spent 1-2K a month...switching to omnisend or finding another partner

There billing is deplorable. You can't make changes to your account without being double billed. They don't do proration and then if you wait to change your plan at the end of your billing so you don't get double charged they will still charge you for the highest plan and tell you that they can't help you and you aren't owed a refund of the difference.

I call that theft. I downgraded to a $100 plan and entered my info to pay for that plan. Instead of it charging me for the new $100 plan I was charged $205. I reached out immediately to get the difference refunded. I was told that I paid the bill before I made the change which was 100% false because I updated the payment information after I made the plan change.

Great product but support since the IPO has dropped, the support teams aren't given any powers to do anything so you can wait weeks/months from connected departments. If you need/think you might need to move quickly then choose another vendor.

Took about 2 months to try and get Klaviyo to integrate with Shopify tags with lots of back and forth between support who weren't able to assist me properly, rather just sending me a link to an article. We were also overcharged for 3 months and still yet to receive our money back.

Set up with Omnisend and immediately the integrations of profile data, segmentation and shopify tags were there without me even paying for anything.

Cannot be more unsatisfied with the app I've been using for all my stores. They have been charging me amounts that has not been used, and once I decide to downgrade the plan for one store that has not been receiving traffic for 2 months, they remove all the premium features which I just paid few hours ago. Also they don't have any type of customer support (I should have as I paid for the whole month already, but as I decide to downgrade to free plan for the next month, they deactivated every premium feature). I don't understand how a company of this size can do this behaviors

My email photos are broken, and the emails look like a joke on the free plan. You get what you pay for. When I tried to upgrade, the least expensive plan I can purchase is $350 a month!!! What a joke. First of all, my niche does not do well with email marketing; I need minimal emails, but I need to them to be professional. Klaviyo emails ruin my credibility. Can't get any customer service because I refuse to pay $350!

Their form stopped to shop up without notice as I experience unmatching data analytics between how many customer left an empty cart and then indeed a form should be shown up.
On top, I understand perfectly provide a payment tier for fast support but eliminate it as a way to resolve something that seems due to their feature not working, I think isn't the best experience.

That's why I am proving 1 star.
P.S the answer litterly show the Klaviyo did not understand that they do have a bug into cart detecting form as it is not shown at all to people thus let me loose many many people to signup.

Think twice before using or even trying the app. They charge for unnecessary things as well as lack professionalism and communication. If you value your company and need solutions immediately choose an app that will be there for you when you need them instead of a company just out here to make a quick buck. They have many competitors with the same features who are not looking to be a problem but a solution for your business.
