GoKwik Cart Drawer & Upsell

The app itself offers some great features, but unfortunately, my experience with GoKwik support has not been very positive.

I initially raised a ticket to enable GoKwik Checkout. Ideally, this should be available as a simple toggle within the app settings. After the feature was enabled, however, the checkout stopped working altogether—neither GoKwik Checkout nor Shopify’s native checkout was functioning. I reported this on the same ticket, but even after 7 hours, the issue remained unresolved.

I repeatedly requested a phone call or screen-sharing session to help explain and troubleshoot the issue, but these requests were not addressed. If such support is not available, it would be helpful to simply communicate that clearly to the merchant. Unfortunately, the issue itself also seemed to be misunderstood, resulting in significant downtime.

During this period, our Meta Ads were running while customers had no way to complete purchases, so I had to pause the campaigns. I then raised a second ticket, which was fortunately assigned to another agent who resolved the issue within 10 minutes. However, the resolution involved disabling GoKwik Checkout. Although I had wanted to test the checkout feature, I have kept it disabled since then and am currently using only the GoKwik Cart.

I am still in the free-trial period, but it does make me question how merchants can be expected to pay $20–$100 per month when support cannot communicate directly with them when critical issues arise. The ticketing system itself is fine, but the lack of phone or screen-sharing support can make troubleshooting unnecessarily difficult and frustrating.

I plan to complete the free trial and, provided I don't encounter further issues, I would be happy to continue using the app.

**Update**
I got a call from someone in their customer service today. He clarified that the checkout issue is because of another related GoKwik checkout app that should be integrated for the 'checkout' config in the GoKwik cart app to work.

I requested that there should be an information message on this app with a link or name of the other app so merchants trying out for the first time would know the dependency. Additionally, I suggested if the toggle to enable/disable checkout dependency was given in this app, rather than having to create a ticket for the support team to do it in the background, it would be more helpful. Also he confirmed that this app does not have the phone support but their Checkout app does.

Easy to set up, great upsell features, and responsive support. We saw a clear uplift in order value within the first month. Worth it.

What stands out with GoKwik Cart is the support. The team helped us configure free gift rules and tiered progress bars for our sale, and they're always quick to respond. The product itself is solid — upsells, countdown timers, and fraud checks all in one app.

Pathetic app - broke my checkout in the middle of the night - team had zero support and offered no compensation - built a replacement using claude code in 5 minutes that functions just a well and is FREE.

Using this from last 2 months. Helping us in getting extra order value with the upsell feature

we have good experience as it helps in better coupons visibility and also uplift of cart add on helps some times in lifting up sales.

Been using this app for last one month, it helps amazingly with upsell and giving tiered discounts. Easy to configure and use. GoKwik team's prompt response make it easier to navigate and use.

It's been some time since we're using this app. This app has definitely helped to simplify the checkout procedure. Lots of options available to customize as per your requirement.

We are writing this review after using the app for about 3months. Have been one of the earliest users of the app too.

The app isn't reliable, half of the times the native cartslider triggers, half of the times the gokwik cart slider doesn't open at all. This isn't the 1st time we experienced so many bugs, today since midnight the cartslider stopped working and the app wouldn't trigger even after adding products to cart leading to nearly 12 hours of no sales.

Last time we were told that we pushed some updates hence the app was buggy. We have lost sales for about 2 days in a similar way as today. And the app isn't worth the price of losing sales for nearly half the day. Now our ROAS that was 4x (Yesterday) is at 1.2x Today just because of the app.

I rarely write reviews, but this one deserves it. If you're using Gokwik for your checkout, do yourself a favor and switch to their cart drawer — it just makes sense. I’ve played around with a bunch of cart drawer apps over the years, and most of them either break something, lack basic features, or need endless patchwork to fit into your flow. This one? It just fits.

The first thing I noticed: how smoothly it connects with the Gokwik checkout. Zero friction. No lag. No weird bugs. That alone puts it ahead of anything else I’ve tried.

But what surprised me even more was how much you can do with it. It’s not one of those rigid apps that force you into their way of doing things. It’s super adaptable — whether you're trying to build a sleek UX or experiment with conversions, the cart drawer lets you play without limitations.

Also, shoutout to Prakhar from the product team — he’s been incredible throughout. From helping with setup to actually listening to feature requests and acting on feedback, it’s rare to see this kind of support from a product team.

If you’re even slightly serious about streamlining your purchase journey and boosting conversions, don’t waste time on other solutions. This one gets it right.
