I do not recommend. You can have 3 free languages on the native Shopify and then if you add this app, the 3 you already have for free are counted as if part of their plan, so you need to pay extra to get to add a new language and pay the 3 you already translated with another app. It makes no sense to me. Unistalling it now because I am certainly not paying for the translatation to languages I have already translated the site too...

LangShop has been very useful for managing translations across different parts of our Shopify store. Translating products, pages, theme content, and other components is straightforward and saves us a lot of time.
Their customer support has also been responsive and helpful whenever we’ve had questions. We hope LangShop continues to improve and refine the app, but overall, it’s been a solid and convenient tool for running a multilingual store.

The app translations were poor at the beginning, until the AI store context feature was implemented. After that, the translations were perfect for around 8–9 months.
Now, the translations sometimes work as expected and sometimes they don’t. This is mostly the case with metafield translations — they sometimes ignore the AI store context, and even glossary rules do not help.
I am convinced this is a bug in the app, but support claims it is caused by OpenAI ChatGPT 5.4. I find this very hard to believe, because the app is the one feeding the data to the OpenAI API. If I paste the same text directly into ChatGPT, it translates everything correctly.
The app currently seems very buggy. Metafield translations are unreliable, both with OpenAI and DeepL Pro, and in their current state they simply cannot be used on a live webshop. It is definitely a frustrating experience for us, and we are investigating our options.
And the support is definitely not 24/7. But that is the smallest issue I have.
