Lightspeed Retail POS X‑Series

I've been with Vend for over 4 years now and have grown with the system. There are a few developments it could do with like bulk amendments on product as CSV's aren't always the easiest to use. But it links to my Shopify system and accounts package Xero great. Theres so much more it offers but when we first started out systems like this weren't readily available and this system has improved and I imagine will only do so. We really like the till system and find it easy to use. Setting up product is tiresome but isn't it always. So be prepared but once set up it's ideal for my shop and online stores.

We we have been a Vend / Shopify User now for 5 years, With over 6,000 products and our range growing every day we find the Vend / Shopify offering excellent.

4. Its a lot cheaper than any alternative I have seen to date.

We have been using Vend for a couple of years now. I was looking for a portable, scalable POS that was in the the budget of my small business. I visited a retail show in NYC. Most companies required an IT department and all manner of special equipment. On the very last day, I talked to this company that seemed to be a fit even though it was designed half a world away. I could use the equipment that I had, build on it and use existing web hosting services. Once I started the porting process, In 30 days, I all 20K+ products and 20 suppliers ported over. More importantly, I no longer had to own and maintain a server. Give Vend a try!

We've been using Vend and Shopify together for 2 years now. With a quick set up, our online sales, inventory and everything else syncs beautifully and with the addition of Xero, all our sales information seamlessly integrates with our accounting software. Reporting is great and we use all this information to make better decisions for our purchasing and our general business strategy. We are not business experts, so these tools help the 'average' person understand and enable us to manage a professional business.

Bad reviews have merits for sure. However, everything has a flip side. We can't say how well (or not) VEND works with multi-channel retailing. We only sell in our brick & mortar store and online through Shopify integration. One of the biggest positives VEND has got going for it is that it's a proper POS system with COGS and inventory reporting, not this "pos" Shopify calls theirs. Shopify's POS is lacking on so many levels (COGS reporting, anyone?). So if you are a single channel retailer, with a need to integrate Square Payments in your store AND being able to sync inventory with online sales through Shopify, VEND is more than capable. We'd recommend it to anyone.

Vend releases regular new feature updates and seems to take customer feedback seriously. Overall pleased with Vend, and I appreciate that they seem invested in working alongside the Shopify platform, rather than pushing a proprietary ecommerce platform.

Shopify to Vend connection was easy setup and we have experienced minimal disconnections/errors.

However, initial setup process was longer than anticipated and involved re-tagging our entire physical stores (2 locations) and multiple comprehensive inventory counts, though this was partly due to migrating from a different POS platform. It's worth it, but be prepared to work.

For us Vend is the best POS software on the market. One of the best interfaces I ever seen and great support and customer service. Before Vend we tried Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite and SAP and for us Vend is more superior than all of them.

Vend POS changed our business - we went from working on weekly csv file uploads to our website and having to handle many tricky situations with stock errors to a seamlessly integrated system. We now have a realtime view of our outlets and stock. We can't imagine life without this application and all it's feature. Our entire business is centred around vend and all other apps are supplementary to keep our business running the way it should.

I have a retail store and use Vend with Shopify - works really well together and is very easy to use. I would recommend this to all retailers with an online store.
