It does what it says on the tin. The reviews would be more powerful if there was the ability to review other "Types" of things, not just products... E.g. Blog Articles, or Recipes things like this. This would make it perfect for our needs (I asked about this, and the only way to achieve it is really v hacky)
My experience has been that the customer support goes above and beyond before you leave a review, and afterwards they pretty much ghost you/don't try to help you.
Very Nice
There was one simple customization that was promised before joining for which after they said we would have to upgrade plans to get (it was originally going to be included for migrating here).
I liked that the app was quite easy to set up and the possibility to give free vouchers to customers that would wirte reviews.
The review form and interface look very pretty.
What I don't like: The app gives you the option to include the questions widget on the product page while being on the basic plan. This means customers can write questions but you'll never know about it and won't get notified about them.
Also when you are on the basic plan the sender of the email is always Okendo. Having a customer base that does not use e-mail that often makes it almost impossible to get reviews when an unknown company "okendo" writes them an email and asks for a review.
Another thing is that the app can slow down your store a bit. Not heavily but quite a bit - be aware of that.
Support was quick and nice!
I like the functionality of the app, and I feel like it would provide a great benefit for my customer. The reason why I'm giving it 3 stars rather than 5 stars is that support isn't available until after the Free Trial is over. Again, it's about providing my customer with a good experience so I'll stick with the app but receiving daily emails about problem areas with the app and being left alone to figure out how to address them stinks.
UPDATED: To use Okendo, you must enforce both name and surname in customer records. It misses all customers without a registered surname. I've reported this bug to the support and received a strange "it's a feature, not a bug" response and seemingly no intention to correct it. So, please take care of it on your store side if you intend to try Okendo. --------------------------- We expected the review app to look aesthetically pleasing, trustworthy, and manageable at a price point we could afford. After going through several alternatives, Okendo ticked all the boxes. Their essentials plan is perfect for smaller businesses. The widgets look great and can be adjusted to fit our branding (you can even customize stars with SVGS, how about that!). They have photo reminders for reviews that help you curate much better reviews, which are now also available in their essentials plan. One problem we faced with the other review apps was that the badges and similar extras took away from the look and feel of the store. Okendo does not force us into any, and we don't need them). The availability of grouping is yet another advantage. Suppose you sell products that are similar to each other. Different colours and designs of the same product can be grouped to share the reviews. This option is incredibly beneficial when you have low reviews for one design but high on alternative colours. Review moderation is easy, and the dashboard is also ok to navigate. Finally, support is also extremely helpful. So... Okendo was the best choice for us, and I think it will also be the best choice for many others.
