Postscript was recommended to me as the leading SMS platform for Shopify, and they have some good features that are hard to find. However, the honest truth is I can't say Postscript is reliable enough to recommend. It's littered with bugs and frequently either fails to send automations or sends them in error, which is a real liability to our communications with our most valuable customers. I've probably spent weeks of my time as a founder working with their support team to resolve bugs and problems with their product. Customer support was initially helpful but frequently fails to follow up and requires reminders from me to solve problems. A recent issue with Postscript caused an order to initiate without a customer's consent, and 7 weeks later we're still waiting on an explanation or resolution. I've worked on software startups for a decade and cannot understand the poor technology execution at Postscript. They are abundantly capitalized, with a large engineering team, and the product cannot be relied upon to do what it promises to do.
Don’t get involved with them. Postscript was amazing. We tried multiple SMS platforms- we finally felt at "home" Peter helped us get setup and he was great. Then we worked one on one with Joe, his patience and knowledge to get the most out of the app was amazing. Then we kept getting passed from person to person and now- now they won’t strategize with us monthly at all. Seems like they have a ton of turn over. Ran and operated very poorly. Not iPhone friendly.
I changed to their new plan - "charge by usage" - like four days ago, to save some money because I didn't use SMS Marketing as much. I went from paying $50 a month, to being charged $987 in three days out of nowhere. I literally sent out two campaigns and have 511 subscribers.
Before this, I used this app occasionally and it went well, but this was outrageous.
Tedious to navigate. Customer service lacking, usually takes days and several reps, to answer most simplest concerns.
I thought i experienced bad customer service. This is by far the worst. Horrible customer service. Would not recommend it to anyone. The sale tried to get me to sign the contract but they have 0 customer service, especially for the lower plan, I am not sure about the other plan. Also, people seem to be not knowledgeable. I want to get out of the contract.
I am trying to send an SMS campaign, but I could not send it due to a system problem. I tried to contact customer service many times, they said they would get back to me, but they never did.
Picked a plan and got a free trial. Spent hours learning how to use it with the videos. Then one day they just shut it off. Said I did it. I didn't even know it until I checked on it. This right before Christmas. Blamed me and said someone on my team must have done it. I am my team. So I know I didn't do it.
is not working for my customers! i got no help to translate in Norwegain. Sms code is not working and email for weeks!
Postscript removed themselves from our store without any notice (I had to ask customer service what was going on). Incredibly disrespectful to small business owners and I will not be recommending them due to their poor customer service and treatment of people who are seen as "other" and unimportant to them. They claim to be following the SHAFT guidelines on regulations for sex, hate, alcohol, firearms, or tobacco, but there are actually different guidelines for how to treat companies in different industries depending on whether they are federally legal or not. Also, there is no definition to what terms like "sex" are (is it pornography? a vaginal health device? erotica? something else?) so Postscript can use SHAFT to offer their services based on their own definition of what's considered "sex" and what's considered "health". Here's is the PDF with more information: https://www.wmcglobal.com/hubfs/CTIA%20Short%20Code%20Monitoring%20Handbook%20-%20v1.8.pdf Considering they pride themselves in following regulations to the T I'm disappointed that they're treating companies like this without any notice whatsoever.
Postscript does not integrate with zapier. You dont get any data from phone only subs. Not even their name.
