unfortunately you can't select a single variant to be discounted, the entire product and all it's variants gets discounted which is a real shame. i use variants for different formats of images, i.e. prints, canvas etc and only want to discount the canvas prints and don't seem to be able to do it. the variants appear in the product selector, but it doesn't save the single one that is chosen :-(
I upgraded the app to the new version but unfortunately the discounts are not working !! I contacted the support with no response or action from their side to solve the matter as the app can't read the store currency which is different than US $ !! I'm really disappointed of how my issue is being handled and will be offloading the app next week If I don't hear or see an action from the developer .
very bad search function to find your products. NOT easy to use, too many pop up windows and by far the ability to search for your products is the number one thing you want to use it for and it always can NOT find the products by just typing in a few letters. You have to go through so many clicks and menus for a very simple process. NOT worth the money for the hassles. Plus they are not very good at responding or showing you how to contact them when you have questions. I know it looks good just pay one fee but then you are stuck with the bad product search forever.
the app is very slow und buggy. It´s not possible to work with if you a have over 100 Products. Some times a discount works sometimes don't. So I have to deactivate the discount and activate it again. And then its very slow, so i loose so much time!
worst app ever. It has stucked and now i have in my shop double discounts on my products. i don't recommend it.

Removing this app because we can't possibly give BOLD any more of our money. The support has been awful, the apps don't work as they say they do and they don't care about our business.
The search feature does not work well, its hard to get what you want from this app. Paid $100 for it and have been waiting months for bug fixes. You also cant stop a bulk edit once its started, I know this is possible as other apps allow you to cancel. These are issues I have contacted support for months with no resolve. It has some nice features but this app really needs some updates and the developers feel its complete the way it is. I wish I would have been able to get it as a subscription so I could cancel but I am stuck with this under performer.
THIS IS THE WORST APP I HAVE EVER USED - AND THE SERVICE IS TERRIBLE! BE AWARE! I USED THE DISCOUNT TOOL AND IT MESED UP MY PRICING BELOW COST SO I LOST MONEY FOR AN ENTIRE DAY. THE SERVICE REP PROMISED TO FIX THE PROBLEM - AND SEIX HOURS LATER CAME BACK TO ME TELLING THAT I HAD TO MANUALLY CONFIGURE THE 850 AFFECTED PRODUCTS, THE ONLY THING THEY OFFERED AS REMIDY WS 6 MONTHS FREE - WHICH IS A JOKE. I LOST THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS AS A RESULT. ON TOP OF IT ALL - THEY SAID IT WAS MY FAULT. NEVER AGAIN.
Unless you have a TON of time do NOT update this app from an earlier version. I would recommend waiting until forced (cross your fingers it won't happen). They will offer a 'free' manual install if you have a customized theme but I don't know about you, but I don't want anyone messing with my theme code (which they don't have any experience with) with no oversight. Overall I'd lump this app in with the general bad IT practices that are far too common with the Shopify community, but that shouldn't give them a pass. UPDATE: I ended up letting them do the modifications on our store after they assured me that they knew what they are doing. Well, once they did the work (totally unannounced) our cart no longer worked (our customer service let me know) so I had to roll it all back. They also left a published test-product sitting around for purchase.
This app is so complicated and repeated request to customer service were not answered. This was my first time buying it in full and it was a BIG MISTAKE.
There should be an onboarding call or someone to help if you are charging full price upfront.
We would love a refund- since it's apparent we never were able to even set up the first discount but our request for a refund was refused.
