Title: Wastes More Time Than It Saves - 2/5 Stars
I recently tried GoSeo's free version, with hopes of streamlining my SEO practices. Unfortunately, it did not live up to my expectations, proving to be more of a time sink than a helpful tool.
To begin with, the free version of GoSeo doesn't give you access to a comprehensive "SEO recommendations & score" feature. This alone makes the tool less informative than I had hoped.
Furthermore, the keyword analysis is frustratingly manual. For each product, I had to manually copy and paste the keyword from the title into a box. Only after I did this did the tool's keyword "score" turn green, which isn't a useful feature in my opinion since and the thought of doing this for hundreds of products is not my idea of fun. A high-quality SEO tool should be able to automatically analyze the existing keywords, not require input for a basic function like this.
Additionally, the tool prompts for tags, despite the interwebs saying that Google doesn't pay attention to shopify tags. If you choose to use the 'auto' function, it generates non-relevant tags, thereby suggesting that you waste time on an aspect that doesn't contribute to SEO.
As for the premium version, it allows for a second keyword score. But again, this is too manual.
The interface itself is not impressive either. It offers no net value gain over the default Shopify page, making the overall experience feel redundant and unproductive.
There is mention of a JSON-LD premium tool, which I didn't get a chance to test. However, based on the limited functionality and usefulness of the "product optimizer" tool, I have little faith in the added value of the premium features.
In summary, every minute spent on this tool feels wasted. I regret to say that, in my opinion, you'd be better off reading a basic Shopify SEO guide and investing your time in learning chat gpt. The notion of a tool that wastes more time than it saves is, to me, as nearly as bad as one that doesn't work. So, regrettably, I'm rating GoSeo = 2 stars.
Thanks. But let me tell you. If you were looking for an app to « save some time » then you are right, you installed the wrong app. SEO is not magic and requires to spend some time. The app is made to give you some proper SEO results not to save you some time. Other merchants mention it in their reviews : they got a signifiant traffic increase after following my app recommendations or by applying the other features of the app (JSON LD, the products optimizer or the images optimizer). You were probably looking for a magic button that would do everything for you which is not possible with SEO if you don’t want to be penalized by Google. That being said, in the era of AI, I agree that my app currently lacks some features in this domain but as stated in the email I sent you, I am actually exactly working on these features that will be ready in the app by the end of summer. Anyway, thanks for probably taking more time to write this review than actually using the app (around 20 minutes).

Not yet since Google does not like automatically generated content but with AI being improved on a daily basis in general, I am working on integrating it more into the app and especially to help with automated tasks as you described.
So basically, I am working on integrating these auto optimize features but in a clever way so Google does not penalize your website when the content is automatically generated :)

App made really well, easy to install and use. it inserts the meta data correctly and I will definitely upgrade to the premium version. I only hope that the author of this app helps the Italian market by also integrating our language, not so much as a translation but in the various generators such as the tag generator which for the moment only supports the English language :(

The simple fact is you need the paid plan. All the decent SEO hints are blurred out, and without them don't go thinking the Free plan will make or contribute any meaningful difference to your Google ranking. As I have seen. It won't.

The app does what it says. I do feel the keyword suggestions could be better. I have to use another app for that. Once I finish all products in our store I will redo this review after tracking.

I have used this app for some months (paid plan) now and it is a gem. It does exactly what it is supposed to. It has helped my traffic flow and seo rankings. It is simple to use (unlike many/most other paid seo apps/software) but by no means does it lack features and is a powerful tool. I also find that the recommended minimum and maximum characters, tags and image alt text for each part of the seo process sits very well with search engines.
Axel's customer support is above and beyond and the app is regularly being updated. I Highly recommend this. Bravo good sir! Thank you.

Nous avons cherché et cherché une app comme celle-ci depuis bien longtemps et enfin nous l’avons trouvée ! Lorsque l’on crée un produit, la difficulté est de savoir si d’un point de vue SEO nous faisons les choses correctement. SEO Products Optimizer est là pour ça. On voit les résultats en direct ainsi que les conseils et les alertes lors de l’écriture/corrections des textes.
Un autre avantage est que cela change directement le contenu sur la page du produit ce qui est parfait car toutes les modifications sont sauvées directement dans Shopify.
Tout est visible sur la même page et l’utilisation est très simple comparativement à d’autres app. Nous venons de Wordpress et dans cette communauté il y a une app de référence reconnue par tous (Yoast). Je pense que SEO Products Optimizer est le pendant pour Shopify et qu’au fur et à mesure des mises-à-jours et des implémentations de nouvelles options elle deviendra la leader sur le marché des app pour le SEO de Shopify. Axel a rendu simple quelque chose des très complexe surtout pour les novices comme nous. BRAVO !

When creating a product, the tricky part is whether from an SEO perspective we are doing it right. SEO Products Optimizer is there for you. We see the results live as well as tips and alerts when writing / correcting texts.
Another advantage is that it directly changes the content on the product page which is perfect as all changes are saved directly in Shopify.
Everything is visible on the same page and is very easy to use compared to other apps. We come from Wordpress and in this community there is a reference app recognized by all (Yoast). I think SEO Products Optimizer will be the same for Shopify and as updates and new feature implementations it will become the market leader for Shopify SEO apps. Axel made something very simple that initially is complex especially for novices like us. WELL DONE !
We can only recommend it to people looking for a great SEO app.

Be nice if could do some of this auto, and maybe add abit more for premium as once you know the main bits about SEO you can do that bit yourself. Although the layout of this app makes it much easier. Easy to use app to improve product seo information, including text and image optimisation. Brilliant use of colours to help edit product text and image ALT text. Support was immediate and excellent when I had a question. Recommended.

Been using it all day (Another day to go - So many products). Easy to use. Made a few suggestions to Axel for improvements - replied within an hour and will be incorporating them in the next update. VERY happy. Fast to use when you have a lot of products. I am getting through 200 products a day.

This is app is a "must have" on every ecommerce store. It is very user friendly, easy to understand for beginners and very essential. Even in the free version this app is stellar. All stores should be using this out the gate. I am really glad you were able to put all these features together Axl, as this is just what I have been looking for. I have literally hundreds of products to add meta description to and I was really dreading doing it. This app has cut the amount of time I needed to put towards it in half and it is super easy and user friendly. This app is incredible. Please don't hesitate to install it!

This is a really good app. It runs very smoothly and its easy to use for beginners on Shopify... I used it to write descriptions for my products in my shop, and I noticed an immediate increase in customer traffic visiting my site thanks to search results. I highly recommend checking this app out...

I don't see a significant improvement in my Shopify SEO however the app is very easy to use. I am not sure if it is because I did not sign up a plan so that is why. Anyway, I am happy with it so far.

I love this app! I have a lot of products and bulk editing does not work well for SEO. I like the suggestions that seem to work universally. I contacts Alex and told him of a couple things that would make it much easier to use. He contacted me to let me know he is working on Filtering in search of products that have or have not been optimized also the AITag Generator which he says will be upgraded soon but until then he is adding the ability to let you put in manual tags as you are working on optimizing which saves a lot of time it sends all changes to your Shopify store product when you save the changes. I look forward to seeing an SEO for the pages and Collection maybe in the future.

With Axel's SEO Products App you will definitely, "Optimize your sales! I mostly enjoy the emojis, that indicate a sad emoji for bad tags. To green emoji for tags that are good to go! Keep up the great work. I will be updating to the $14 a month plan soon as my business grows!

I own a small e-commerce business (hopefully large one day!) I found SEO confusing.... but this app makes writing proper product descriptions so easy. It walks you through step by step and Is very user friendly. I unfortunately ran into a glitch, but the apps developer was very quick to respond and fix the issue. He went above and beyond to ensure I was satisfied. I truly recommend this app!
