This is the most gliche online accounting software on the planet! Pull your head out and fix the million issues this has.
Worst accounting software ever.
By far
It seems that anything BOLD does is absolute garbage, all their other apps are junk as well.
I'm embarrassed on their behalf!
We use this app to send our sales receipts from Shopify to QBO. It works flawlessly most of the time. Unfortunately, once every few months we have a tax entity problem. This causes all our Shopify sales to no longer export to QBO. To resolve it I contact Bold who tells me "everything is working now", I then have to INSIST I will not get off of chat until they fix it. After several minutes of discussion they realize I am not leaving and my problem gets elevated and then fixed. The help person can not tell me what happened or how it was fixed so the next time I contact Bold it's Groundhog Day all over again. This several hour process has happened six times, if there was another way to export Shopify to QBO, I would try it. Our business is too big to be at the mercy of this weak link. My only alternative is to leave QBO.
huge trouble getting app to Sync with Shopify!!!!!
nearly 4hrs talking to support line between quick books and shopify and it still doesnt work
at this stage i would not recommend for shopify syncing!!
We have been using this ap since day one. Over this past year we keep getting more and more errors. This ap use to be free but since having to pay for it it has been getting WORSE!! Come on. Whats the deal??
What started out good ended up, eventually, with duplicated entries making the integration useless. Incompetent support and irregular support communication. Now I'm stuck with TONS of extra work to clean up sometimes 4 copies of the same sales record, but assured by their sr engineers "that's how it is supposed to work." DO NOT RECOMMEND.
Nirav was amazing always answered my questions in a timely manner. I like this app and support are always there to help.
I've been using this app for a year or so. Ever since the software was transitioned to Bold for support since probably around Sept or Oct, we've been having issues importing the transactions to QBO. Bold changed the product name by automatically adding a " - " to the end of the name if the product doesn't have a variation. I used import by name and one day all of a sudden, most of my products' names had the dash. Then the accounting system got confused and created service instead of inventory for the products. I talked with Shopify support and they cannot do anything there. Then after some days, the dash issue seemed to fixed, while my accountant is trying to clean up the old issues, now we have products - some with the dashes, some without, some as service, some as products. I contacted Bold and they said it's issues from QBO. What a nightmare! If you are happy now, beware that someday there might be software changes that you won't get informed and you will get screwed. I was happy with the app and shopify, now I am just pulling my hair and see if I can get out of this especially at the busiest time of the year for retailers. Shame on Shopify, shame on Bold.
The app worked fine until we had an error over a tax setting. After 10 emails back-and-forth we are getting zero help from Bold. We find their support to be terrible across all their apps. And there are a ton of glitches and issues so they really do need to step up the help. We're going elsewhere.
Paul Was very helpful at cleaning up some issues with my inventory upload. He even called me to go through everything and make sure I had all my questions answered. Support was helpful Thanks Paul!
Bait and switch. I realize it costs money to provide these services but with Shopify being a major ecommerce platform, Intuit/QB should provide this service to their paying customers. Bold took over managing the app and it went from free to $30/mo. I think the pricing is absurd for a small business to transfer sales data. I hope they rethink their model. I get paying that if you're syncing inventory and more complex accounting but I send over 40-50 orders a month which I can't justify spending $30/mo to do. I think the bad practice was Intuit offered this for free and then pulled a switch on it's customers. If anyone has recommendations on a web-based accouting system that integrates to Shopify for free, please let me know!
