In theory this app is great however the barcodes it produces are not accepted by google shopping. I am in the process of having to re-barcode everything!.

Thank you for sharing this feedback! Google Shopping will require a GTIN as the barcode for products, unless you choose to set up your products as "custom products". This may be why you were seeing an issue there.

The app needs to be able to cull together multiple products and variants along with updating inventory levels so that product inventory "check in" can be done with one procedural workflow and save time money and effort.

(example) Receive stock --> Verify quantity -> select products to check in-> update inventory level-> print barcodes-> get back to work!

The barcodes supposedly generated but I could not see them on the product page or create a file to add. Waste of time!

Thank you for writing your review and providing us with your feedback. When you generate barcodes for products using the Retail Barcode Labels app, the barcodes should then appear in the Inventory section for each product.

If this hasn't been happening or if you're unsure on how to utilize the app's features, I'd be happy to take a closer look and offer some guidance on this. I was so happy to download this app. After trying out for the 4th times generating barcodes for my cosmetics product, nothing works. I have a QRbot app on my phone to test, only able to scan the barcode numbers without any necessary info shows up of what my product is.

It used to be a lot more friendly. I used to use it to see all of my new items all in a row and now that option is gone. Now we have to click and search for the items way more times, and the barcodes don't get assigned right away so you have to wait so much longer.

This app just doesn't work. Tried for 3 days to Print Labels, but no connection at all from app. Do not reccomend

I really like this app. I am giving it 5 stars, but there is one feature that I would like to see, and that is the ability to select where to print a label on a page if you are using a Avery labels in a printer. currently I have to print the entire page for 1 barcode label, so when I feed the sheet back through the printer to print more labels in starts printing from the same location where I already printed before. I actually saw this feature on a job in a program called WASP.

This is the worst app there is. I don't know why the previous app we used no longer exists. This just complicates the entire process.

It would be helpful if this app worked with special characters. also took a long time to figure out how to get it to work with the labels i have. there aren't enough presets for labels and the basic 1" x 2 1/8" label preset doesn't work.

Edit 2023: App still works ok. A major issues i'm having is issues with duplicate barcodes because the barcodes are generated using the last 8 characters of the variant id but the variant id is 14 characters, so multiple product variants are getting the same barcode.

Additionally, a major oversight is authorizations based on user type. At least there should be some sort of password input for replacing all barcodes. It would be a shame if I spent countless hours applying barcode stickers to all of my products only to have an associate mindlessly choose "replace all barcodes in my store" and render all the barcodes useless. This is functionality that needs to be implemented ASAP.

I nearly didn't download this app having read all the reviews but I'm SO glad I did. I'm not sure if I'm doing anything differently but it's working brilliantly for me. I found the app very easy to use and I like the ability to print directly from a product page or you can easily select different products/variants and number of labels to print from the products home screen. The labels print really well and its nice to have the functionality to personalise the look of the labels by creating a template. For future improvements I would suggest the ability to upload a logo and perhaps the option of custom spacing the text within a label if you decide not to print the barcode (otherwise the text is all at the top of the label). Other than that think its great. For people struggling I would suggest you take a look at https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/sell-in-person/hardware/barcode-printer/retail-barcode-labels. Hope this helps.
