We used this app for almost 3 years and now they are trying to charge us 5 times more per monthly fee. We have found other search apps which charge a fraction of the cost and will be moving our business to another app. I would not recommend this app if you are planning to grow your business and this app will try to squeeze as much out of you as they can. They have tried to threaten us a few times with price increases. We also had horrible customer service from their rep Olga Skalkina. I guess its time for us to go to another 5 star rated search app, luckily there are many on the shopify app store!
Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We are sorry to hear you have felt threatened, however it seems what you are describing were the two standard notification letters in regards to the number of products in your store exceeding the limits of the subscription plan.
When you first signed up with our service in June 2018, the number of products in your store was within the 20-50 thousand range. At the moment this number is 1 722 493.
For the past 6 months, we have been negotiating the cost of the service plan for you. However, despite such significant growth of your store inventory, you were not ready to pay for a corresponding subscription. The whole time we had to increase the use of our resources to ensure the appropriate quality of search in your store. We are very sorry to know that rather than arranging to pay the correct price you prefer manipulating with a negative review.
The app doesn't function properly, a lot of problems happening, some products in the store are not even shown in the search result page (looks like the product doesn't exist in the store, this is the worst part). When I contacted them, experienced a very slow response, very disappointed. I have paid for the yearly plan, now stuck in it, it ruined my store. I demand a full refund immediately, please.

The app never worked well on mobile, buggy and sometimes simply wouldn't work. Liked most of the other features of the app and it worked well but this bug caused us to have to find another solution.

I have paid for a year and can't use the app as there are so many issues between Searchanise Collection/Search Pages and BolideAI/Searchanise Upsell. Since you moved the upsell to BolideAI the service has been terrible, doesn't reintegrate just shows errors every few days when it tries and the customization for both should be easier to match the theme so that both apps visuals show the same look throughout the website and it matches throughout the website.
In passato funzionava bene, ho aggiunto vari prodotti al mio store ed ho superato i 25000 prodotti, già prima di arrivare a quella cifra l'app mi rallentava tutto nonostante avessi pagato il pacchetto giusto. Ho cambiato app e utilizzato un'altra iper rapida anche con 50000 articoli a catalogo. essendo sceso a 11000 prodotti ho voluto dare un'altra chance a quest'app perchè aveva un layout che preferivo ma purtroppo ho buttato inutilmente altri soldi per il pacchetto 5-25000 prodotti senza nessuna funzione, l'app rimane impanata nell'indicizzazione dei prodotti senza mai completarla rendendo il mio sito totalmente inutilizzabile. Non la reinstallerò e se non volete buttare soldi e rallentare il sito, evitate...

This app has some good search features, but there are a few bugs in the system and the customer support is terrible!!! I followed their supplied instructions and spent days assigning colour families, but they don't show as colour swatches on the shop front. I have written to them 3 times to ask for help but have had no reply, but someone has reset all the families previously assigned. soooo frustrating and a massive waste of time.

I have been facing some currency issues and trying to contact the team but not getting any response. This is quite a critical issue that needs to be resolved but help support is quite poor.

We know that you don't have an integration with the Wishlist app. However, the Flits developer team wants to talk to you on this issue and they are saying they can solve this issue by coordinating with you. Earlier also we were using your theme along with searchanise but did not face this issue. We along with Flits are waiting for your reply for the Last 2 days but no revert. Ticket #109768

After several attempts (during 2 months) to give Searchanise the chance to improve on our website they failed. Here are some reasons why:
- One big problem is that the most searched items on our shop are not what they really are. Their own statistics in the backend shows totally different top queries then present in the search widget.
- Given search results to the vistors are bad although visitors query is in the product title!
Try at my website Gartencenter.de:
1 When you type "wurzel" it shows all our indoor plants first for no reason and no products with "wurzel" in the product name on the first page. The product visitors are looking for are the 23rd and 24th result!
2 We have a lot of products which called "bambus". When a customer types like "bamsbus" (typo) Searchanese says "no results", but since the query corresponds for 85% with "bambus" it should at least give the same result as "bambus".
Their answer: make synoniems! That's really not how a search engine should work.
- Suggestions only support English and Latin
Their service is friendly but after 5 of the same email in which they thanks us again for our patience I'm done.

We totally agree that there are some imperfections in the way our suggestion feature works as well as our Auto spell correction feature when it comes to any language other than English. The whole search system should work better once we make the global changes that are currently in progress and hopefully there will be no need to use synonyms as a fix.

AVOID!!!
Highly misleading pricing. They do offer you a 30 day trial, but then try to charge you $30 instead of the price they show in the shopify app store. When contacted they suddenly show you a completely different pricing plan, which is not displayed anywhere in the appstore, and offer you a special yearly discount of 30% (which they offer anybody who pays yearly).

The correct price which suits your store is shown to you in the Searchanise admin panel right from the moment you install the app.
The discount was offered to you because we understood that you may have got confused and decided to meet you halfway. Please note that we offered you a monthly discount active for 12 months. It is not the same discount which is offered for one-time yearly payment.
Hope this makes the situation clearer. We are willing to make our pricing policy as transparent as it can be. We will be glad to consider any suggestions from you on how we can improve our pricing pages so that they did not get you confused.
