Previously i thought
"This makes my life so much more simple.
Firstly, the support I have had is really good. An initial meeting was set up with someone and she supported me all the way.
I have very complex settings to enable me to automate my shipping method and weight, and the app is very customisable to your needs.
I can easily download all of my shipments before I confirm them, so I can count them and make sure they are correct first. It enables you to easily flag express orders and certain types of orders.
You can also use it to print out all of your packing slips, which is very useful. It also tells you if you have already printed them.
I used to use Royal mail click and drop, but this makes it so much easier.

NOW HOWEVER I have had a number of shipments that I cant create a label for. I get strange error messages. Support are unable to help. Unfortunately unless it is a simple error, support have to escalate the query and usually this means you NEVER hear back with a solution. I usually give up at this point and have to go direct to Click and Drop and create a label there. On one occasion I was told i would have to wait 2 weeks!! To which I said to not bother as I needed it sorted by end of day.
FOR WEEKS I have had an issue with Ship Station Connect disconnecting, making it an utter nightmare to get my labels printed. Nobody is sorting it out. They tell you to do basic stuff which I have done and have had no effect, as I had thought. I keep getting stupid emails saying "let us know if you are still having issues".
It is really slow now too and keeps glitching
Plus in shopify it says your app is unsupported now and needs updating. What is going on?
I give up and am NOW LOOKING TO LEAVE TO A DIFFERENT APP.
My experience with Shipstation has been absolutely awful. I have used them for almost a year now and I continually run into issues where ship station connect doesn't work, my password is wrong and it locks me out even though I never changed it, it does not give me the cheapest rate and tries to sell me on the most expensive, it does not sync even though I hit the sync button, etc. I do around 1,000 orders a month and ship station has been a massive pain in the ass. If management is reading this, stop lying to people and letting them think that your company is some wonderful 'shipping nirvana' as you advertise. All you really are is an annoying middle man that just happened to get good rates with USPS. That's literally it.
They almost have worse service than Shopify. Almost. Not worth the ever-increasing-amount of money. Better platforms for cheaper. Wish the FTC would stop Auctane from buying up all their competitors, gutting the service and jacking up the rates.
Does not integrate, does not work. App is unsupported in Shopify. I would steer clear.
I have contacted support multiple times and I haven't had any proper response, telling me that it's not their issue, or to use a work-around that is basic.
I used to love this app but I just received notification my service was cancelled at my request.....I never requested this and now cannot get a hold of anyone to fix this. Im waiting for an email reply from a request 3 days ago....I have shipments that need to happen and I can get signed in to do so, or retrieve previous information on these shipments. Maybe someone will answer me on here
Slow Slow Slow Slow Slow Slow. HUGE productivity killer... If they would fix this I would give it 5 stars.
My below review changed after realizing that Shipstation almost doubled their subscription pricing (specially with Canadian $ conversion) with just a mass emailing (no authorization consent requested) and NOT providing Real Time Rates options in Canadian Subscription although their rates are same as in USA. Not worth service for the kind of subscription package price! Cancelling our subscription!!
ShipStation works and integrate very easily with our Shopify store. It simplifies the eCommerce system. Orders are automatically pulled for shipping cost comparison, tracking & customers notification, all updated in the blink of moments. Can't imagine operating a small business without shipstation tools! It's a necessity!! It is 5* rated tool except the fact that the monthly subscription charges should have included customer service as and when required. Reaching tech support a twisted hassle, raising tickets and waiting. Hope they can include tech support as part of every package.
I used to be very happy with ShipStation.
HOWEVER - if you ever need help - their support is beyond useless.
I had an issue with shipping using DHL where it kept saying that I have insufficient funds with an error code.
So I opened a ticket with them and told them the issue that I have. About 4 hours later - they finally reply saying "there might be an issue with your card at stamps (which only does usps), please re-add your card"
That tells me two things - first their support is utterly clueless, second - they didn't even check my ticket, but instead answered with a canned reply.
I then opened another ticket, hoping to get a person that would at least remotely care. Nope - same reply from the other person.
Now to make things clear - they did take the $50 for the shipping, and added it to the account. The included screenshot shows that there are money. I also shipped 4 packages using USPS after that - without a single issue. So I tried talking to them again - it just showed me how clueless they are.
I am done with shipstation after using them for years, because this is unacceptable. If you are looking for a good shipping software to go with your store - AVOID shipstation and look elsewhere. I am just starting to look for an alternative, but I am very much done with this joke of a company.

Terrible app. We often have issues with orders not uploading. ShipStation Support can take days to begin investigating issue. Huge headache!
