We've been using Shipstation for 3 years, shipping around 1000-1500 packages per year. The switch to Shipstation from manual shipping through the USPS was a quantum leap forward in efficiency. We couldn't run our business without Shipstation. Shipstation is perfect in nearly every regard except one: they aren't integrated fully with their parent company, Stamps.com. USPS international shipping options are not named the same in Stamps.com and Shipstation, which leads to confusion. I spent a few hours working with Shipstation user support to deal with the situation and it still wasn't resolved. I wish that Shipstation would change their shipping options to match the names that are officially used by USPS and Stamps.com. It's still not clear to me if Shipstation is permitting me to purchase all of the shipping options offered through my Stamps.com account (which was set up through Shipstation).

I see I'm not the only one. The app isn't working. You cant do a "end of day". I FINALLY got a response from their customer service that suggested a use Chrome in stead of Safari... and it didn't change. You cant close off the shipments anymore, and its not an error on my end. Now they don't even respond. So if you have printed off 50 shipments, and cant even close off... its a complete waste of time.
UPDATE: They finally fixed the problem, took a good week.... but its working now. They did apologize for not responding and they did fix the problem so that the app works for me now.
UPDATE AGAIN: after a few days of working, the app isnt working again... and im getting ZERO response from their customer service team. Not even a basic "we are looking into it"... nothing. After printing dozens of labels, i now have to re-print them else where manually, and email each customer their new tracking. So much for a time saver!

I've been using ship station for over 6 months and I couldn't be happier. They make my life so much easier. Before ShipStation, I was literally printing postage from the USPS website, copy and pasting addresses one by one. ShipStation has always been accurate and a solid platform. If you're not using this app, you're simply not living.

ShipStation saves us hours of work!

For us it easily:

- prints labels in batches, 100s at a time ( we used to do it 1 by 1!!, so annoying to do and takes up so much time)

-sends tracking info to customer then sends off confirmation when it's delivered.

-fulfills the orders automatically in Shopify

-gives us a live rate from our Fedex account, so we know how much it costs without checking on the Fedex site

-now it also gives us the transit time ( new feature!)

-it allows the use of colored tags which is amazing for organization

+ so much more. ..they've added a bunch of new things since we starting using it 4 months ago. So it's going to only get better and better.

If you ship a good amount of product, use this app, it's a must!

This is the perfect solution for a business our size. Plug and play with no custom buildout, easily split orders between fulfillment centers, basically anything you need to do is built in. Can't recommend it enough.

A lot of issues with this platform, can't book Couriers Please for Interstate orders, two months now and still not resolved. Australia Post, you can't book multiple labels per order, so you get charged double, even though Australia Post are not requesting that amount, so seems dodgy that ShipStation might be pocketing the extra dollars. Also with Australia Post you can't access your terms, so need to book each label up front. This integration is certainly having a negative impact on our costs. Hope the owners see this, and start talking to their customers to make improvements to the dashboard, and also to their integrations.

I have been trying to avoid buying shipstation. However after a friend that I respect said he has been using it for years and wished he started much sooner. I decided to go with the trial, I was using stamps and or endicia to manually ship each and every order via amazon,ebay and our website.

I tried several other plans such as ordoro, endicia pro, and many others. I was instantly sold on shipstation after being able to print packing slips on 4x6 thermal printer along with the original postage label. I am extremely happy and I know I will keep the service after the trial. I have already saved on average of 2 hours each day since investing in the trial.

I would have signed up sooner if they made it more clear that you can add an additional sales channel for only $10 each.

Make sure this is on your list before buying anything ... Use the trial and test it out to see if it will fit your business needs.

WOW! What a difference a few months makes! So we had tried Shipstation before to have as a backup to our other shipping software (see original review below). It didn't work for us then but it works great now! Now our other shipping software is not working and we decided to see if Shipstation had fixed it's issues and boy is this good software. We immediately switched all our shippers to Shipstation. We love it and it saved us when we needed it the most. THANK YOU SHIPSTATION FOR TAKING OUR EXPERIENCE INTO CONSIDERATION AND FIXING YOUR SOFTWARE!! =)

April 27, 2015:
The software looks very nice and sleek, and the customer service people are nice. I am very sure this company is comprised of lovely people so please understand this review is only about the functionality of the service/website. Where this website/service fails is if you are a volume seller. For example, if you have a large sale where you get 10s of thousands of orders at the same time, the software LITERALLY cannot find any order you look up to ship because naturally those orders will be "pending" shipping. A customer service rep at Shipstation confirmed this is a known issue with them and said they will "suggest" this be fixed. So I have to uninstall this app. If you have the potential sell 5K, 10K, 20K, 30K, 40K etc. orders at the same time this shipping service is not for you.

Rates are not syncing with checkout cart, According to shopify provided by shopify, the customer paid $13.95 while shipstation is trying to charge us $94 What a nice profit margin Impossible to get a hold of them, "Contact us" keeps taking me into loops of support documents They don't care if the site is not converting because we only have FedEx account showing in check-out It keeps asking me to upgrade shopify to advance or plus plan while I upgraded to advance plan months ago. Shopify people felt bad and emailed them on my behalf
