Paid Marketing by Shoelace

Bourbon & Boots started using ShoeLace about 6 months ago. At first it was to test Shoelace vs the incumbent Social retargeting app. We have now fully moved to Shoelace due to the ROAS financial performance. In addition to the clear financial results they are driving for our business their customer responsiveness, engagement, and support has been A+. I highly recommend Shoelace.

Is a good simple app to use, i like how it does it all for me, cause re targeting can be a long process but it is super necessary, most days my shoelace is in positive ROAS which is all you can ask for really!

The biggest problem with the app is how it hijacks your FB ad account. The second we installed it on our Shopify store with our FB pixel ID, it somehow demoted the admin access rights for us as the owner and we lost control of our ability to manage our ad campaigns, costing us $3K above and beyond our preliminary $1K ad budget. Facebook would keep rejecting our ad change publishing, saying we do not have sufficient access rights. That is just ridiculous for an app to circumvent control. It took us a while to realize what was going on, initially thinking it was some bug. This is the second time that we've had problems with Shoelace. Before it ran it's own Pixel ID and that caused us to lose all Google tracking data of site visitors. Be very careful before you install this app and realize that it's goal is to take complete control upon installation.

I've used Shoelace for almost 2 months and I can say it's been the best app investment I've made. I'm consistently getting over 300% return on the investment and over 15% conversions on clicks on the ads. This is the most effective ad campaign that I have. The customer service is outstanding, honest, timely, and responsive. They won't recommend spending more money unless they can show that you'll get more return for your money. Their system is very sophisticated and effective. I highly recommend them to anyone. Give them a try. You won't regret it!

Got my ad account banned by using this App, wished we never used it to begin with. Ads are generic and bland and are likely to be flagged by facebook.
Stay away!

Not one sale was made from this app and I used it for 2 straight months. I even offered an incentive (free shipping over a specified amount which is my average order amount anyway). All my sales came through ads I created on my own. There are times when I would see the ads created from this app on facebook and they would show me random products that I know I wasn't even looking at. I contacted support about it and was told to offer a discount(something I was already doing). Claimed the ads did show the customer what they were viewing and they gave me a link to a blog article to read. They didn't really seem to be interested in offering help. Basically "give it a discount, your observation is wrong, and read this article..."

I was taken back by that response. Overall, I'd rather make my own retarget ads than to waste money on this app. I seem to get better results when I do it myself rather than waste money on no results and a uninterested support team.

ETA. After leaving the above initial review the app developer, David reached out to me to offer more personalized help. He even refunded me my ad spend for the last 2 months. He was much more helpful and said he would take my feedback into consideration in order to improve their customer support. I was very pleased with the assistance I received from him. I only wish I could've gotten that personalized assistance prior. I will say that David is very helpful and responsive to customer concerns which is why I decided to change my initial rating.

Been using this app for last 3 months and like it a lot. The staff behind that run this app are very friendly and helpful. If I were you I would give this app a try for a few months.
