Shogun ‑ Landing Page Builder

An excellent application that allows me to have beautiful landing pages with endless customization and also excellent customer service! Thank you Shogun :)

Very helpful customer service (Sweetan was especially helpful), the app is easy to use and helps you make very nice looking websites. I highly recommend!

Everything that Shogun does is super basic. Its Elements library has not grown for ages. All one can do is create basic pages. There are no modern-looking elements that can really add design value to the store. Apps like SectionsCloud have taken the design to the next level whereas Shogun Page builder is like 2 years behind when it comes to offering quality content blocks.

A very versatile app that gives you a good amount of freedom when it comes to customizing your pages.

Best page builder app. We use it for all our pages. Some minor things could be improved, but in total a really good app!

There is not much I can add to previous reviews. I can reiterate this is one of the best apps I have used. I do more Wordpress than Shopify. I had convinced my client to buy a high end theme because there was not the budget for a custom coded Shopify site. The theme's home page was well designed and had several options but I was surprised how bland the rest of the layouts were. I have a technical background but was not very familiar with either Liquid or the Shopify interfaces. This app allowed me to customize the site and avoid the $100.00/hr Shopify expert fees.

Not only is this app is great for someone who does not know much html, css (or sass) -it is timesaver for someone like me - it puts my design/development into power mode. I appreciate how they structured the UI - there is nice feature where you can add a class to your component.

Also their support is fantastic. I admit I did not read the documentation or look at the videos - at first. I would send them email that blah-blah was wrong and they would politely inform me what the issue was. 90% of the time it was my error.

Next time, I will not bother buying a high end theme.

Used to love this app so much and ive definitely learned a lot but overall it feels very clunky, the design side of things is restrictive at times and you often come across errors/bugs/glitches - the support team are super helpful and reply quickly but the app itself is not as seamless as it used to be/feel.

I have 3 different stores using Shogun, all were built with Shogun originally but i've recently decided to come away from the app as a full time tool and use it now just for sections and the occasional landing page. I think the thing that pushed me over the edge to do this was the introduction of product templates but only to those on advanced plans. None of my stores need ad advanced plan, so this felt like a bit of a slap in the face to us who have been paying for years waiting for such feature to arrive, only for it to be locked behind an upgrade paywall. I did reach out to the support team about this but they didn't help this time.

Hopefully you guys will listen to this feedback and improve an already-great app.

i use this app a lot and their customer service is great. i just wish the screen size compatibility would be addressed between a big desktop screen to a smaller one (not a tablet or mobile phone).

I am upgrading my review from 1 star to 4. Since I left my review I've spoken to two Shogun experts who got in touch to show me how to achieve the looks I was after. They have been a great help. They were also magnanimous enough to accept all my feedback about how fiddly things are and how unintuitive it can be. However, they convinced me that once you know what you are doing, you can build great pages. My issue was that I was in a rush and tried to figure things out myself and this was an accident waiting to happen..! So my advice to anyone reading is: it is a great tool capable of great things but alIow yourself some time to train on the basics before you get stuck in. Don't be like me, basically..

The app is not working properly, support has not fixed it. Cannot access my product page to edit it. There is some technical error. Gone back and forth with their team and they have finally decided to acknowledge that I have a problem. Waiting for their technical staff to respond but this is a huge disadvantage on a LIVE product page that I cannot even access because of this app.
