my experience has been horrible, first some how hackers got into my in and posted over the web I made several attempts to talk to customer service only to get a sentence from a chat bot the 3 weeks ago bye and I found out my check out is not working and had not been since day one I was told is was shop that was blocking people from being able to check out and I still got no help,then I started having dns problems up until today when I had sent multiple messages saying some thing was wrong but I was told my status page was green so its fine,then today after finding more of my information only on this site that I put on 2 days ago did I decide some else. so I go to zendrop to get help with the site I pay for and when I get back to my page that I'm on thin ice now well 2 hours later I'm not in compliance with shop but I have been for months and nothing has changed, and this is keeping it clean I literally was told I had to fix the problem even though I pay for a working product I never recieved
It is actually great to have our store listed on the Shopify marketplace, however it does not show if items are in stock or not. Most of our complaints come from customers who thought items they ordered were in stock - but actually were on backorder - or a pre-order. Shop app does not show that. Shoppers would have to know to ask the AI if it is in stock - or try to direct them to our real website so they can see real stock availability. You cannot edit your Shop store very much either. Just very very basic tweeks. Can't select products you want to appear on your home page. For the developers: The "IT'S BAD" button does not work to submit a review for this app - only the "IT'S GOOD" button works. I wonder why?
I have contacted support for over 6 months and i am still not able to get my account back- they emailed me saying im good to use the account and we are approved but noting has changed in the backend. Everytime i talk to an agent they tell me they will get it fixed in 48 hours, but noting is being done.... I am honestly very surprised that SHOP PAY is this bad with support... its honestly very disappointing...
Shop is an app that promises a lot and delivers next to nothing. The app delivers about 0.1% of monthly sales. Customer support from Shopify is non-existent.
I wouldn’t say customer service was unresponsive — the support staff did reply and acknowledged the issue. However, it was beyond their scope, so they escalated it. That’s when the waiting began. When you run an online store 24/7, timely resolution is critical. Delays can really disrupt operations.
I rarely give a 1 star review but Shop has been ruining us. We have different shipping options, including "Build a Box" or "Request for shipping quote". These 2 options are free for obvious reasons - as they are just add-on service we provide to our customers. We do not offer "Free Shipping". However Shop was designed in a way that whenever there is the keyword "Free" found under shipping options, it will automatically show "Free Shipping" when customers click on any items in our store. Since the customization settings are way to basic & rigid, we cannot edit to change how this was shown nor hiding it so that customers will not have a false impression that we offer free shipping. Because of this design flaw by Shop / Shopify, we have been receiving order cancellations because customers believed we provide Free Shipping!! This does not only add on to our admin work, it is basically killing us as a small business when all we are trying was to build our brand and gain trust from customers. We have brought this issue to Technical Support. While the agent that helped me was phenomenal, he couldn't help solve the problem as it's beyond his capability as well. If it is not because of this issue, we have no beef with Shop / Shopify. Hope someone is actually reading this and would help us solve this critical issue that's costing our business immensely.
Disgusting service! I do not recommend! It looks attractive, but they cheat with payments. I set up payments "same day" in this service, but I was deceived twice and made to wait almost 7 days. I had to go back to another financial provider. I repeat, I do not recommend it at all!

Encountered a plenty of high risk fraudulent orders as soon as I opened it. Not only did I lose product, sales, but I was even charged a $12 processing fee per order?
Orders can't be canceled and even my bank account is under control

Great app on it's own but comes with the caveat that when customers who have used shop pay before go to checkout in your store, it implements a forced re-direct from your normal checkout page to a shop pay page where EVERY OTHER payment option you have painstakingly implemented for your store is HIDDEN. Literally holding your checkout page to ransom. "As a workaround, a customer prefers to use a different payment method, they will need to check out using an incognito browser OR select the Checkout as a Guest option in the Shop Pay checkout. Additionally, clearing their browser's cookies and cache completely—ideally from "All Time"—might help as well." This was the official reply I received from Shopify if you can believe it, I still can't.
The technical support is quite abysmal. God forbid you have some 1-star archived reviews with your partner app (with issues already resolved with customers), they will cause a nightmare that is near-impossible to fix, as Shop will still reflect a negative rating, even once those reviews are permanently deleted. A true nightmare for Shopify's paying merchants. Be warned...
