Sadly after using Stocky for 8 years it is now officially unusable. The forecasting feature was never the most accurate but still very useful. But now to it's completely useless. Remember in the early day's of Stocky when it was a private Australian company having a chat with Seb the app's creator and the service was awesome and the features worked great. Since Shopify took it over it's progressively got worse, they didn’t buy it to grow it. They bought it to neutralise it and bundle it.
Hi there - thanks for your reply. Feedback is taken very seriously at Shopify and I will definitely be passing along this sentiment to our Stocky team. I understand how important inventory forecasting is having worked in the Retail space for many years. WHile Stocky has indeed been a part of Shopify's ecosystem for quite sometime, there are new features that been released that has helped with inventory management for a lot of Shopify stores.

All I wanted this app for was to have an easier time doing physical inventory of my store. This absolutely did not work. I was genuinely hoping for a way to simply scan all my product for my yearly inventory, but despite following all the instructions to set my scanner and do the actual scanning (and yes, I do have a compatible scanner), it did not work. So once again I will be doing inventory manually. One would think Shopify would have a good, functional physical inventory taking system, so it's frustrating and honestly baffling that they do not, especially after existing for so long.
Great potential — completely neglected by Shopify
Stocky has the potential to be a fantastic app, but it’s been completely abandoned. I was told it used to be a 3rd-party app that actually worked well before Shopify took it over — and sadly, they’ve done nothing to improve it. In fact, they’ve even removed some of the original features. If I were the original developer, I’d be heartbroken to see what it’s become.
I’ve tried multiple times to integrate Stocky into my business, but it’s missing some really basic processes that make everyday use painfully slow and inefficient. There’s no way I could ask my team to work with it. I’ve ended up sticking with Google Sheets, which is far clearer, faster, and adaptable to my needs.
Whenever I’ve contacted Shopify support about Stocky, they’ve known absolutely nothing about it. I had to push to reach two people who seemed to understand it slightly better — but even they couldn’t offer any real solutions.
There’s a real gap in the market for what Stocky should be doing, but it seems it’s just not “glamorous" enough for Shopify to care about. A real loss.

For context, our Stocky developers are constantly striving to improve the app so we would be more than happy to support in anyway we can and/or get someone with extensive Stocky knowledge to support you as well. What I would suggest is to visit our help centre at help.shopify.com adn chat with our Help Centre Assistant on the specific Stocky questions that you might have. This helps with routing you through to a Retail Specialist, someone who has extensive knowledge on Stocky.

Frequently glitchy, and with an extremely unintuitive workflow. Trying to get support from shopify is also extremely difficult as most of their support staff isn't familiar with the app, and will pass you around or give you incorrect advice. The most recent update was a downgrade!

Poorly optimized product. Doesn't balance to 0 when transferring inventory. Doesn't show products sometimes that are active. Barcode scanner only works in hidden option, not in line items.
All this app did was make our inventory worse.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We understand the importance of accurate inventory and providing a tool to help it stay organized. Some of the items you mention seem like they could be resolved based on some settings. I recommend you reach out to Support to have them help you troubleshoot what you've been experiencing. Why haven't you guys updated this app? It has so much potential but makes everything so much more difficult. To start, at least let Stocky have the same functionality as the Shopify PO's & Transfers. This app is so painful to use. Please, please, please update this app. Please make it better. It is so close. Why make this app so much more difficult to use with less functionality than the Shopify counterparts?? Please, will you look at all the reviews below and make some common sense changes? Reach out to the people using this app and ask for their input. Shopify POS could be an absolute beast if this app was fixed and improved on.
Thanks for your review. Our Developers are constantly trying to improve the app to be more efficient and sync better with Shopify. Were there any specific functions that you feel is missing from the Stocky Purchase Orders compared to the one in Shopify Admin? Some features such as transfers may work better with some changes to Stocky settings.
I invite you to reach out to our Support team at https://shopify.link/vRnL with the keyword "Stocky" to help optimize the app to meet your business needs.

HELP. I have never used it for years because I can't even get it to link and set up. And regular Shopify Help has me on hold forever and has no idea.
It won't see/find Dymo printer at all. Nothing. I need to give it permissions .. and there is no button to NOW allow Permission. Just sends you to INFO about permissions. And Shopify doesn't save the label you use in DYMO anywhere you can find it on your PC. Can someone help me set up Stocky. It should be easier than this. Please and thank you. Otherwise Stocky is of no use to us still.
Hello, thank you for taking the time to submit your feedback and review. Due to changes with how DYMO’s software functions, only DYMO printers that use the DYMO Label Software are able to integrate with Stocky at this time. This includes the DYMO LabelWriter 450, DYMO LabelWriter Wireless, and DYMO LabelWriter 4XL printers.
If you are using the DYMO Label Software and compatible printer, you can generate a label template as described on our Shopify Help Center via the link below, and then upload it directly to the Stocky under the Preferences > DYMO section of the Stocky app. This would allow you to print labels directly from the Stocky app using your DYMO printer.
DYMO Label Printing using Stocky: https://help.shopify.com/en/manual/sell-in-person/shopify-pos/inventory-management/stocky/inventory-management/dymo-printing
If you do not have a compatible printer, you may consider using another app for barcode label printing, such as our free Retail Barcode Labels app which allow you to print directly from the Admin with a much wider range of printers.
If you require further assistance, you can reach our 24/7 Shopify Support team who would be happy to assist you with further Stocky or label printer questions through our Shopify Help Center by visiting help.shopify.com.
This is so frustrating, this app works well for us even with its flaws to enhance Shopifys POS limitations, but now functionality on Transfers is being moved from it and moved to Shopify Admin. I wouldn't mind if the changes were an upgrade on the app but we are losing functionality. Very Sad that development is not being put into a very useful app, and assuming that eventually all areas will be moved to Shopify Admin with limitations rather than just developing this app further.
Thanks for your review. Our Developers are constantly trying to improve Shopify and Stocky. While we can't really dive into the decisions that account for this change, your feedback is recorded for any future versions of the Stocky app.

Stocky is essentially useless for anything other than the most basic of functionality. No ability to see reports on when POs are due, no integration with Quickbooks or other accounting software, no ability to mass export or import POs, limited reporting functionality.... I could go on.
It's disappointing that Shopify offers such a lackluster feature to fulfill a basic part of the retailer experience.
UPDATE: They also have no workaround for multiple invoices per PO, which applies to over 70% of our orders, making their metrics for upcoming payments basically useless.
Hi there. Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback, we truly appreciate it. As I can completely understand the impact of this change, I've gone ahead and shared your feedback with our developers. We are however, always working to improve platform and appreciate you sharing those points. - Blair, Shop Support
One star, and wish it could be zero. Not efficent, lots of glitches, never any meaningful improvements. Like everything related to Shopify POS, it is overpriced, and underperforms. No customer service--every man for himself. Heed my warning, and AVOID.
Thanks for taking the time to submit your feedback. We certainly understand the need for Stocky to be an efficient app to effectively manage your store inventory. Our developers are actively working to improve the app, so your feedback is valued here. You can also contact our support team at help.shopify.com to assist you with any immediate issues, we're always here to help!
