WILL HAVE TO UNINSTALL. What's the point in having this app when Users can't type in their message in the message box? Another star knocked off because now you can't even type in your message in the message of the widget. The widget is unscrollable and the message box is hidden by the mobile keypad. I emailed Support and never heard back.
UPDATE: Dec. 24, 2016
After I uninstalled this app and set my website to go live, I got a chat message with IP address located in "Latvia", Person from tawk.to wrote "YOU'RE A DOUCHEBAG".
If you go to their website, all of their job openings are located in "LATVIA".
My review on here was to help you guys make a better Chat widget because everyone is migrating to your competitor TIDIO. But instead I got a harassment message.

Five minutes I updated my review, I got another chat saying "YOU'RE ACCOUNT HAS BEEN SUSPENDED"....Proof
Nobody has got back to me on removing the rest of this app off my site.

If you have manually added the chat widget code to your Shopify account, you can follow the steps below to uninstall the widget code:
(Note that this guide uses the "Basic Liquid Theme - Debut" as an example. If you have a different theme and you don't have theme.liquid file, please refer to your theme's developer where you can find or try to look for footer.liquid"
1 - Go to your Shopify Dashboard, Click ‘Online Store’ - See this screenshot: https://prnt.sc/oj1s19
2 - Click ‘Action’ > ‘Edit Code.’ See this screenshot: https://prnt.sc/oj1tg7
3 - In ‘Layout,’ click the theme.liquid file. Then scroll to the bottom and you'll see the tag. See this screenshot: https://prnt.sc/oj1v0s. You can also use the Find function (Ctrl+F) to locate the start and end code of the tawk.to widget code.
4 - Delete the tawk.to script code from it and Save

App never worked. its literally an app with a blank screen. coding was still left on my website after I deleted it. don't get it!

There is an easy fix if you encountered issues when installing the tawk.to chat widget on your Shopify dashboard.
Follow the steps below to install the chat widget:
1. Clear your browser and cookies.
2. Log in to your Shopify dashboard.
3. Then visit https://apps.shopify.com/tawk-to.
4. Click the Add app button for the tawk.to app.
5. Select the green Install app button to continue. You'll then be prompted to log in to your tawk.to account and accept a permission request from Shopify.
6. Then log in to your tawk.to account from the tawk.to app in your Shopify dashboard and choose the property and widget you would like to add to your site.
The widget will be added to all pages of your Shopify site.
If you wish to uninstall the app manually from your site, follow the steps below:

They got 24-hour online support, why have no response to an obvious bug that I submitted ten days ago? Very disappointed.

I installed the app, the widget never worked. I asked them to remove it from my site. They never managed to do it. They had more than two weeks and not 1 reply.
Now Im building a new website.

It's a FREE app and yes, you get the price of using a "free" app -don't expect too much! After roughly 2 months of using it, I've decided to remove it..Why?
1. You have stay logged to the dashboard -to your computer at all times so that your chat status will also go "on-line" -Not ideal for single person who runs an ecommerce store. I was hoping that I'll be able to manage everything from a smartphone; unless you don't want to miss any chats, -you really have to connect and reconnect to the dashboard (the dashboard times out!), -to your computer from time to time! Really a waste of time! What's the point of scheduler if this app would eventually go offline if you can't keep an eye on the dashboard?
2. Tawk.to App (iOS), -This app is having a hard time pulling/displaying messages when connected to 3G or LTE, or even when connected to Wifi, messages would came late and sometimes, messages would not appear at all! I ended up tons of "missed chats"!
3. UI - The dashboard has very confusing UI.There are portions/settings that are invaluable to ran a chat for an ecommerce store.
This app is very promising, but very buggy. and in my opinion should be designed and tested from a seller/store owner point of view.

Here is information addressing your concerns along with a few suggestions for using the tawk.to app.
1. User status will not be changed from active to inactive as a result of being idle or not viewing the tawk.to Dashboard.
If your computer or browser has a sleep mode setting, this will cut off the internet connection and set your status to offline in the Dashboard.
You can find your Sleep mode settings in the Monitoring section.
If an agent is inactive for 10 minutes (default setting), incoming visitor events will turn off. However, the whole Dashboard can still receive chats and will remain active.
You can modify the time settings or completely disable sleep mode.

2. For iOS, please try using a different internet connection.
e.g. if you are using wifi, please try 4G or another wifi connection going through a different access point and/or ISP and vice versa.
Also please disable any VPNs you may have enabled. You might also try killing the app (double-tap the home button and swipe the tawk.app away and up) and then restart it.
To send a bug report, please do the following:
> open settings
> open the app left menu (top left)
> tap on the gear icon (top left)
> tap on "Report a bug"

I would give this app zero stars if possible! Stay away from this app, the only chat you'll have is with them because this app is a huge waste of time.NOT USER FRIENDLY. Read all the previous reviews before your move forward. You've been warned. They have all the potential except they overwhelm you and seriously under-deliver!

To download the tawk.to app from Shopify, follow the steps below:

3. Click the Add app button for the tawk.to app.

This app gets in its own way. Too many unnecessary features, and not organized enough to sort them all out. Customer service was unable to figure out why I couldn't get notifications on my iPhone, and blamed it on me or my phone. I switched to Tidio - MUCH simpler, everything I need, still free, and notifications work fine.

Changing your notification settings may depend on the iOS version that you have.
You will have to enable the 'Allow Notifications' setting for the tawk.to app or change the alert styles.
For iOS 12-14, you may need to change the Show Previews setting for your notifications or the appearance of your Notification Grouping.

Almost 3 weeks for a support ticket to just set up my store. Contacted them 3 times to try and ask them to hurry it.

I unistall the app but after that it still exists on my store. Free are never free as you can see!!!!
