I like the idea behind this app but it doesn't work smoothly after implementing its functionality to the product's images. When you open the product page, it takes about 5 secs for the app to hide the images during the loading, so you can see the images before which is not exactly professional, unfortunately. I have emailed their support and waiting for their response regarding this issue.

VIP works perfectly. Support was also great--they were very helpful with getting the app installed and working. I highly recommend this app.

The app does what it claims for the most part. It has an issue, however, that prevents my first product image from loading on mobile. Even after uninstalling and re-installing the app, the problem still persists. I've reached out to support to get help on this issue and I haven't received a reply.

I love this app, it's a perfect plugin, it allows me to switch my images with the variants for a really cheap price. Very easy to use and very helpful support, they fix any issue you ask them to correct, I very recommand this app

Probably the best variant image plugin there is. its cheap and super easy to use unlike other plugins. They also customized my theme files to make my custom theme work with the app. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Super app, the right solution to a cluttered product page. Had some issues with finding the thumbnail code but support reached back out to me in no time.

In the beginning it didn't work but on mobile but after contacting the support they solved the problem and now it is working perfectly

This app doesn't work. I have one of the most popular themes on Shopify and even though it says they support it, they don't. The Support team offered me a solution (they were going to charge EXTRA for it to work) and when I finally agreed, they said "nevermind, the app will never work with your theme". I wouldn't recommend it.

App works great for us, we have lots of colour options for a single product and support was great when we had a few issues with apps causing each other issues.

App is not being maintain, youtube video doesn't have link promised in the description. There are complaints about it from over a year ago. Waste of time.

This app was exactly what I was looking for. It cleaned up our product pages, and only shows the variants we want to show when a certain swatch is selected. We had a couple issues setting it up, but support was very swift and responsive. Thanks!

I use this app to cut down the number of variant photos for each product, as well as put the photos in the exact order I want. Works very well so far. I recently had some questions about an issue I was having with my product photos. Support went in and personally fixed the issue even though it didnt have anything to do with the app! Excellent customer service

Unfortunately this app did not work. I have tried to fix it and played with it for 3 4 hours but still was not able to get it to work.

We have used this app for quite a while now and it works great. It is perfect for handling all the various thumbnail images that go with each color of our different products. We have used it on two themes so far. Whenever we have needed support they were very helpful and responsive. We highly recommend this app.

The plugin works exactly as described and you SHOULD AVOID IT. It loads the images for each variant on the initial page load, this means every image gets loaded. So your page size will be the size of every image variant regardless of if the customer selects an option or not.

If you're like me and were planning on using different images for size and color variants then you will end up with a page 10mb in size that loads very slow. Also because of the speed you will run into issues on the initial page load with other odd images showing. The only solution I found was to switch to lemonstand.

Not only did the app's performance exceed my expectations, but the customer service provided was extraordinary. After having difficulty with the setup, Mangita was able to install the app properly for me at no extra cost. My site looks much more professional and user-friendly. 2. The amount of support I received upon encountering problems is incredible. First, there is a website that guides users who had problems using the app(very informative and comprehensive). Second, Dave was tremendously helpful when I emailed my problems to him. He responded quickly and it was heart-warming to see him go the extra mile to write codes for me to help make the app more compatible on mobile platforms. Thanks Dave!

Dave went above and beyond for me after I couldn't get VIP to work with my new theme that I bought. He could have easily just said "sorry it is not going to work" but he created a new product template for me and now I am good to go. That is true customer service. Thanks Dave and VIP team.

VIP is a great app. I’m using the free Brooklyn theme, and VIP allows my customers to see different pictures for different color variants, without going to a different page. Plus it’s very simple to use.

Also, Dave has been super responsive and helpful. He solved quickly two layout issues, and he took the time to write me and suggest some fixes to my theme's code as well.

This is the first review I write for a Shopify app, but I highly recommend both the app and the developer!

As said in a few other reviews, I ran into compatibility issues with the recently updated version of the "Venture" theme.
Though after some immediate help from Dave, it was working in minutes and looks awesome.

This app isn't completely compatible with our theme (Venture) at the beginning, because the theme has a product thumbnail carousel. I emailed Dave, and he got back to me within a day with a solution.
I don't write reviews very often.
But I highly recommend this app and Dave's service.

Excellent App - I personally think Variant Image Penguin is the only app out there that perfectly shows the variant images and enhances the customer experience. Highly recommend Variant Image Penguin to store owners that want to show a specific image or set of images on a per product basis, something that Shopify's core theme does not currently support.

I am happy to say that Dave actioned my request promptly and very professionally! Support was fast and extremely helpful.

Once you get past the initial setup, the app is very easy to use and works a treat. My product pages wouldn't look as good without it. This app is a must if your theme doesn't support the multiple-photos-per-variant organisation that VIP offers.

We use Variant Image Penguin on our Japanese site as well as our US site. We love the ease in which it allows us to pick and choose which images are displayed by the different product variants. The support team is extremely attentive and helpful. We love VIP. If you are looking for an easy and cost effective solution to your store's product imagery, definitely give it a try.

There were some problems incorporating the plugin with my particular theme, but the support was fantastic and they resolved the issue quickly for me. The interface is easy to use, makes the whole process very efficient. Thanks!

Its a great app!! I am using a parallax theme that they hadn´t work with before and I needed some particular configuration but it works like a charm.
I am able to select all my variant images 6 per variant and leave the other ones behind after one is selected.

the team is great and I want to thank them for the effort they did resolving the issues I had.
