Based on our experience, we do not recommend Yotpo for businesses that need reliable support in high-stakes or legal situations.
During a recent legal matter, we depended on Yotpo for documentation tied to their SMS platform. Here’s what we encountered:
A formal letter provided by Yotpo included an incorrect phone number, which their team later confirmed was a template error.
Our legal team required corrected documentation and supporting records (including metadata/logs) to meet court standards.
Despite the urgency, there was prolonged back-and-forth on what could be provided and how.
Critical records needed for admissible evidence (such as underlying logs tied to opt-in data) were not immediately delivered in a usable format for the case.
The situation escalated to the point where legal pressure increased, including motions filed in court over missing or insufficient documentation.
Our opinion:
When everything is running smoothly, platforms can seem interchangeable. But when a serious issue arises, the level of support and accountability matters most.
In our case, we did not feel adequately supported when it mattered most.
If your business relies on SMS/email/reviews/loyalty platforms, make sure you fully understand what legal-grade data and support they can actually provide before committing.

I am really consider to use this app to replace the judge.me, so installed it for for testing. We got one verified review today 02/07/2026 from a customer, and when try to export it, it send me empty csv for 5 times. The support is suck as well, no real person only AI, when you request real person, AI created a ticket for you and Goodbye. Never come back

Newly submitted reviews can take a short time to process before appearing in exports, which is why the CSV was initially empty. We understand this wasn’t clear and will work on improving that experience.
Regarding support, while AI helps route requests efficiently, real team members are available to assist once a ticket is created. We’ve reached out directly and remain available should you decide to continue evaluating the app.
Not all reviews are visible, even after contacting support multiple times. Unfortunately, I would not recommend this app.
It is not easy to export the reviews to move to another app. This feature should be front and center

SCAMMERS! this app will leave unwanted codes and java scripts on your page causing conflict in product pages, checkout, raising INP levels, they have no form of contact no support email, Horrible app stay away!
As a large brand, we sadly cannot recommend any of the Yotpo's modules. The platform is extremely buggy, most of the features can't be accessed the majority of the time, switching between stores is a nightmare. One of their other modules also triggered an issue on our store that costed us hundreds of thousands of dollars and all we were offered is a one month's subscription discount. Yotpo's platform is behind, poorly maintained and technically unstable.

I have had a horrible experience dealing with keyla.galarza@yotpo.com. I was contacted on Cyber Monday stating that they want to speak to me about signing a new contract for about $7000. I forwarded them Okendo pricing at $299/ month which I had the rep at Okendo confirm was exactly what I needed. I was then told by Yotpo the $7000 per year price was for an account strategist. We never use an account strategist. We only ever log into manage reviews. I asked them to rebate me for the years we have been over paying and to adjust my monthly price to match Okendo $299 with UGC, and 3500 orders per month but he has since gone missing. I am asking to speak to a manager and no response. BE VERY CAREFUL. THEY GET YOU INTO A CONTRACT AND DON'T TELL YOU ABOUT THE BASIC PACKAGES for $329 they have on their own website which will save you thousands per year. We are a small business. They have been absolutely taking advantage of us for years.

This app is an absolute nightmare. No support. Nothing ever stays - constant updates that don't transfer. DO NOT CHOOSE THIS REVIEW APP. You will regret it.
UPDATED 6 Months Later: If I could give YOTPO MINUS 100 Stars for customer service I would. There is no customer service. In fact, there seems to be a definite pattern here. You open a support request and they then close it so that SHOPIFY thinks it's been resolved when in fact, they have done absolutely nothing. Even if they commit to doing something, they don't follow through. You open another one and the same thing happens. It's absolutely unbelievable.
This App should be immediately removed from SHOPIFY. And, Shopify should care a lot more about this than it appears they do. Store owners should not be subjected to this non-support. It's hard to even call it nonsupport since they actively work against everything you do which has a negative impact on your store and business. This needs to be investigated.
6 Months ago-I have now made 15 support requests with no help from this app. It should not be on Shopify. It needs to be removed. DO NOT use this app as you will have NOTHING but problems with no support whatsoever.

I can't recommend this company. The product works fine, but they are not friendly to small businesses and have an overall "take it or leave it" attitude and pricing policy. We've used this app for YEARS. Macy's recently asked us to syndicate reviews so that all our positive reviews on our website would also show on Macy's. Yotpo not only refused to provide the data to them without "upgrading" our current plan, but the new plan they insisted on was a price increase of over 300%. Even worse, they required a full annual contract to do it.
That price alone would have eaten up the vast majority of any profit we might have hoped to increase at Macy's. So yeah, I found Yotpo's inflexibility to be no different from extortion, and very anti-competitive for a small firm like us. Thumbs down.

The syndication feature you are referring to is available for the Premium and Enterprise packages as an add on due to its complexity and the 3rd party agreements involved.
