Zendesk is best thing out there for customer service. I have used SalesForce extensively but find that Zendesk provides all the tools specific for addressing customer concerns. The email formatting and automation can be improved.
We sell on a few different platforms, so it's really nice to just pull up a ticket and see a customer's order history at a glance. It gives a clean, organized view of essential customer info with accessible links to expand their order details, track their order, or refund it on the spot. It's very helpful in providing context for customers we're interacting with.
Very nice and easy way to engage with customers. All messages from all platforms are integrated in this service so you do not have to go from one website to another. Great addition for our business

Zendesk has been extremely helpful to stream line our customer service. Additionally it's extremely useful to be able to get into the customers order straight from Zendesk. Great App!!!
I am running a couple of stores with shopify and bigcommerce. I have installed Zendesk on my shopify stores including Jaipur Hair & Instalength. But their customer support sucks and i personally do not recommend. They didn't treat customers like customers when it comes to proper support we require being in India.
So instead of Zendesk, I strongly recommend Freshdesk or Freshchat. I have lost whatever i have paid them in front for annual plan. They didn't resolve the concern i have asked them to do instead they are like all the payments are non refundable.
Please do not waste your time with them.
Hugely helpful and time saving when answering support emails. Gives a quick overview of who the customer is, how much they've spent, and lets you go straight to their info within Shopify from within Zendesk. Would love to see tracking info included in future versions. Overall very happy with the app and would go crazy without it.
The integration between Zendesk and Shopify is great for one view status on customer's orders. With just a click you can be transferred to Shopify. The only downside is the "notes" section in Shopify in not viewable when in Zendesk. You have to click on the order no to see any written notes about that order no.
