okay the accessibility panel in AW is so much nicer than the ones i've run into on other sites. the text to speech actually sounds like a person. scroll to top is a small thing but i've hit it about forty times testing my own store. customers set it however they like and it remembers them next visit. love that.

We got one of those demand letters last spring. Lawyer money, sleepless nights, the whole business. Settled it and then spent months braced for the next one. Accessibility Way has been on the store since March and the scan reports give me something solid to point at if anyone comes knocking again. Contrast controls and the dyslexia font were a nice surprise sitting on top of that. Mostly I bought peace of mind, and peace of mind is what I got.

I build stores for clients and Accessibility Way is on nine of them now. Every theme I've thrown at it has behaved, including two that were customised half to death. The ongoing scans catch what clients break after handover, which is most of my job if I'm being honest about it.

Our board asked for documentation showing we meet the accessibility requirements and I had no idea where to start. The app generated the statement and the compliance paperwork in about ten minutes flat. Our trustees were satisfied, which is not a sentence I often get to write.

Long one, sorry. My brother lost most of his vision in his thirties and watching him try to shop online is genuinely infuriating. Half the internet is a wall of unlabelled buttons. When I opened my own store I didn't want to be one of those. A11yBoost got alt text onto about four hundred product photos in a single afternoon, and the reading guide is the thing he actually uses. He tested the store for me last month. Got through checkout without calling me once. First time that has ever happened.

Boost against our own audit before trusting it. Focus order is handled properly, no focus traps anywhere, and it doesn't fight the screen reader labels we'd already written. Page weight barely moved, which I did not expect.

I run a small yarn shop online and I am not a tech person at all. My nephew installed this app for me and showed me the little panel where customers can make the text bigger. Two of my regulars have mentioned it since. One of them is 81 and she told me the shop is finally readable for her.

Set this up on a Tuesday afternoon and it caught a bunch of images that had no descriptions, wrote them itself. The keyboard navigation works cleanly and the font size toggle in the little widget is handy for my older shoppers. Only thing I'd want is a few more color themes to pick from.

Two things sold me. The alt text it writes is actually accurate, not gibberish, and it works fine across both my languages without me touching a thing. Solid little addition.

Been using this for about a month now on my two stores. The scroll to top button sounds minor but customers on long product pages actually use it constantly. Getting a proper accessibility statement without paying a lawyer was the main reason i signed up and it delivered. Screen reader folks have emailed me thanking me wich never happend before. Only gripe is the setup could use a proper walkthrough for beginners.
