Digital Products

Very happy with this app so far. It is easy to upload digital files, connect them to products, and set a download limit for customers. I especially like that I can limit downloads to 3 times per customer, which works perfectly for my digital products. Everything has been simple to set up and works as expected.

El flujo de trabajo es muy cómodo con esta app. Sin embargo, cuando la actualizaron permitiendo agregar enlaces, se perdió la opción de arrastrar los archivos para subirlos. Ahora si o si hay que hacer clic en agregar un recurso y buscar el archivo. Si pudieran regresar la función de arrastrar y soltar, sería genial, es mucho más rápido a la hora de subir muchos productos.

Provides flawless experience to customers on accessing the digital files, both audio streaming and eBooks. Integrates well with the Shopify product - collection combos. Offers great control over limiting download counts. Have got good feedback from Happetive customers on using the digital downloads access.

Digital Downloads has been very helpful I just drop the JPG or PNG in the 'add an asset' section, and it automatically sends the digital product out to the customer that purchases from my website.

The lack of API is a massive disadvantage when using the Shopify Digital Downloads app. As it’s an official addon, it should be accessible via the public Customer Account API.

The app works great; the customer experience sucks.

If you provide something free, scammers will pound your site downloading the same files over and over generating tons of notifications for no cash.

If you provide an inexpensive download, scammers will use your site to test stolen credit cards. You can write scripts to prevent some of them but today I had a $2.49 charge clawed back plus a $15 chargeback fee.

My site is 75% digital downloads and so I love that I can give free updates to folks. It’s seamless with coupons too. I don’t know how to prevent the fraud.

It works awesome, I just wish people could download right to their cell phones, that would be so much easier for my digital cards fit for cell phone size screens. Right now, it requires an email to download, and not all customers have their email setup on their cells.

I'm a musician selling digital downloads of my music. I set this app up once, and never had to fix anything or get help, and it works smoothly every time!

Super easy to use | With this new update though you cant drag and drop files | For Me I have three tiers of product and i used to be able to drag each file right onto the tier but now i gotta go through a couple extra steps to get my files attatched, if your reading this and your one of the devs please consider adding the ability to drag and drop again please!

Its good. Gets the job done. However, sometimes larger bulk uploads it causes an error and have to re upload again.
