Thus far this app seems like it will help with shipping issues. No problems so far! I can’t wait to see what it’s really about.
I love the idea of the protection. I had a bit of trouble setting it up because I’m not tech savvy whatsoever. But I will be using it for the first time today. And hope this will ease my customers minds about their packages.
Great product. Allows us to save revenue and saves of time rather than having to file a claim with carriers.
Here is a bit of information I wish we had known before installing the GUIDE app. First, the dashboard is "under construction", so you have no access to the app other than to install it. You must reach out to support to make any changes or updates. Secondly, when a customer does purchase GUIDE, they receive no information from GUIDE. We changed the language on our site to direct the customer on how to make a claim, but GUIDE currently offers no customizations and doesn't offer any auto messages. Thirdly, we offer our customers the option for IN-STORE pick up instead of shipping, and our customers are mistakingly or unknowingly buying GUIDE for their in-store pick ups. They are of course wanting a refund for GUIDE after they realize the mistake. We contacted GUIDE about the issue. We hoped to just remove GUIDE from orders that select "in-store pick up". The only solution they offered us to get a refund is GUIDE must have access to all our orders so they can verify we refunded the customer for GUIDE on an in-store pick up. Basically, the app doesn't seem fully developed. I gave GUIDE 2 stars because I do think the app seems to have potential but for now, it's lacking a lot of features we expected to have. Last issue, I have reached out to customer service 2 times asking what happens to potential claims if we decided to uninstall the app...I haven't gotten a response.
This app is great for our customers. It really takes the worry out of what to do about lost shipments. Installation was a breeze. A big win for the customer!
This is a great way to make sure customers packages are protected.
This is a total disaster. support is terrible. cannot process claims. total scam as far as I am concerned. Im being billed for a free app. If the customer pays .98 for protection why are we as the store charged too? I mean i get the point of the app but dont lie and steal to get people to download. The app isnt free at all. You pay .98 for every customer that chooses to use it. Now the problem is, if theres a claim that needs assistance, there is no one to contact to help us out yet we have to keep paying. There is no login. When you try to it gives you an error message as if it doesnt exist. No account is needed when you pay .98 every transaction and then they bill it to your Shopify. Customers think they are paying that but we are! Im only still using it until i find better. SKIP THIS APP! Update - Guide has still not responded to any of our emails or request from my customers about a lost package. Please do yourself a favor and don't install this app. They are running a scam. I am trying to reach out to Shopify to have them removed, so no one else is scammed by this app and company. Guide does not provide any protection to my customers. My customers can not reach Guide after filing a claim and are not protected. Please do not use this app. I will happily remove once I get any response from the company. The customer service responses have been terribly slow. We agreed to a revenue split, and then Guide never paid us. When we try to ask where our money is we are ignored. Poor customer service. Constantly charging my customers double or triple. Cannot get the refunds. DO NOT RECOMMEND.
I sell E-bikes on https://e-bikeheaven.com. Being able to offer customers the peace of mind with shipping is invaluable. No one wants to spend a bunch of money and receive a broken items they can’t use, or even worse their purchase never shows up. With Guide Shipping Insurance they have the option to protect all their purchases.

I haven't had the chance to use Guide yet, but I installed it for my e-Store because of the services it offers. I love that my customers' purchases will be protected. I love that if my customers' packages are lost, damage, or even stolen that their items will be replaced. The Guide Protection app is one of the best apps that I've installed for my store. I'm very excited about this app because I believe having the app on my site will entice customers to place orders from my site knowing that their purchases will be protected. I will gladly recommend The Guide Protection app to others.

Guide is a fabulous app. I've installed it on any store that I've launched, and just installed it on my newest store! Guide has a fabulous interface and is soooo simple to use compared to filing claims with USPS. This allows us to offer our customers a higher level of service and control over how much they want to protect their packages. Any time i've needed help with setup/general support, they have been so quick to help. I recommend them 100 times over!
I recommend this app because it with any issues that may arise when you are shipping products. I recommend it for all businesses.

So I've had Guide Shipping Protection for I believe little over a year and a half now. They are by far one of the best apps that Shopify has to offer, the customer chooses whether or not they want their package protected and if they pay the extra .99 cents yes only $1 they have a ease of mind just incase their package gets lost or stolen or never delivered. Guide Shipping Protection is the best and would forever be part of my store.
From the demo down to set up. Everything went smooth. Our customers are all glad for the swift response whenever they have to file a claim. Thank you so much Guide Team! Highly recommended!

This app has been great extra layer of security for our customers. Very straight forward and easy to setup.
I'd give no stars if I could. This is the WORST app experience I've had by far. The support team is largely uncommunicative. When they do respond, they say they'll have an answer to my question by the end of the day and I don't hear from them again. I've reached out twice and had this happen. At this point I'm deleting the app and going with a different developer.
Guide shipping protection is ABSOLUTELY amazing! If you have issues with constantly having to replace lost/stolen/damaged orders or follow up with carriers, Guide Shipping Protection will remove all of those obstacles (and headaches) for you! The best part? It costs you NOTHING!
The app is working well so far for our store. It has given buyers more confidence when making the purchase. Only issue is that dashboard is not yet fully functional and we are unable to see what claims have been filed and how they are resolved

I recently needed to utilize GUIDE after having it enabled since I opened my website. I am quite impressed with the service. I was hesitant it was too good to be true. Not only did they get back to my customer within 48 hours, the reimbursement was issue immediately. The representative was also pleasant. Overall, I'm happy to offer it. My customers utilize it almost every order.
Very easy to install! I love having this option, it protects me and the customer. This is great especially for the holidays. if anything gets lost, I know my customers have the option of having their items replaced at no extra cost on both ends.
This app is great once you can get it installed. I had troubles but they added it for me awesome plus in my book. It protects me and my customers from the postal service losing packages or damaging them! Also it’s not much more to the total to get it and have that piece of mind as a customer.

I use this app to add some extra protection with shipping. I haven’t had any issues with it and my customers always add it to their orders. The only thing I don’t like is some of the design placement on my site. I’m not the greatest with design so I’m not sure how to change things around. Overall a great app.
I found this app as I was looking for more protection for not only my store, but to give my customers protection and peace of mind. As we all may have noticed lately, shipping has been so crazy over the last few months and more importantly, very slow! It seems that you also have some confusion about how the app works so hopefully we can clarify and eliminate your frustration. The Guide Shipping Protection app is completely free to you. Your customers are given the option to add shipping protection to their order at checkout. If they choose to do so, that fee is added to their cart total. Because of the way Shopify works, the store receives those fees initially and holds them until the end of the billing cycle. At that time, Shopify pulls those fees and sends them to us. So while it may have appeared that you were the one paying for the shipping protection, we can assure you that you were not. They are just collecting the fees that your customers have paid for our service. We hope that this will clarify the confusion for you. I wish I new how they work, how their customer service is, or maybe how their website looks. BUT when I log in it just says error, I don't even know what their correct email is to reach out, can't find their actual page.
So it seems the only way to reach out to them is by providing a terrible review and see what they have to say. I even sent an email to what I thought was the right one, but haven't gotten a response in the last 2 weeks. So if you can't figure out your shit I may as well move on to ROUTE SHIPPING PROTENTION, because I've never dealt with the simple issue of LOGGING IN.
This app is very useful and helpful if you have any problems setting it up they have great customer service that can help you with that
