I don't usually leave reviews but this app does everything I need to grow my membership. I love that it seamlessly fits into my website, the backend is really easy to use, and I can have member only pages. The most pleasant surprise is the customer service. I've been emailing with them over the weekend to fix some issues caused by my last subscription service and they are quick, helpful, and kind. A++ for product and customer service.

The app does what it says and where it doesn't, customer service truly is top-notch. I've bugged them an almost embarrassing amount and they keep responding and fixing and improving.

I've been using Conjured for a few years now at the service is nothing short of exceptional. The team is always quick to respond to any questions that I have.

When I first started the membership program for my shop I used a series of apps and custom coding but needed something that could automate the membership and Conjured was the best app to help me to manage my membership program. Each year the app seems to get better and better.

This app basically does what we need it to do, sell annual memberships.

We wish that it had an "every calendar year" choice for expiration/renewal, regardless of subscription date, which would make it easier for renewals and to retain members through the automatic renewal option.

However, thanks to the great customer service by Conjured, we were able to pull down membership information, then, just delete the current membership on December 31st and create a new membership on January 1st each year.

This review has 3 parts: an original review, plus 2 updates.

Original review: This app has been easy to set up, and the customer service is exceptional! Makes it all worth it! They helped me step by step and helped configure some things I didn't know how to do. Great app, excellent service!

New update (March 2025): The conjured team has been working with me to sort out the issues described below. Very responsive, and very helpful!

The gift membership problem is inherent to the Shopify ecosystem, unfortunately. We're trying to find workarounds, and Conjured is definitely trying to solve this problem with Shopify.

They've added the feature (in beta) for exporting addresses to help circumvent the Shopify tagging system.

And as for the buggy tagging, it seems that my store was an unusual case, and I think we have it sorted out for now. (fingers crossed!)

1st Update (from October 2024): After almost a year with Conjured, I've come across a fatal flaw.

In order to ship the products in my membership I need an accurate count of members and to export a list of all the active members and their shipping addresses. Seems simple right?

Conjured can export a list of active members and their *email* addresses. But to export *shipping* addresses, you must do it within Shopify, by creating a segment based on the automatic tagging in Conjured.

Unfortunately the tagging between Conjured and Shopify is buggy. I've been trying to export an accurate list of members and addresses for the last 3 days, going back and forth with Conjured and Shopify support. I have yet to get the lists to agree, and have lost maybe 6 hours to the project.

At this point, it seems the only way I'm going to get an accurate list is to check the members manually, and copy-paste addresses one-by-one for all the members who show up in Conjured but not in Shopify.

WTF am I spending money on this app for if it can't accurately track members?

I signed up for Conjured because I used to track my membership manually in Excel and was hoping to streamline things. LOLZ. Joke's on me.

One more major flaw I've discovered: It's impossible for someone to buy a gift membership through Conjured. The membership is always connected to the person who purchased it, and their shipping address, and there is no way to update or edit an address within Conjured.

Conjured support's solution for gifts? Cancel the membership and have the gift recipient just sign up themselves . . . Which kind of defeats the purpose of a gift.

In fairness, Conjured support has been helpful and responsive, but the software just can't reliably do the basic thing I installed it for.
