MP ‑ Store Migration & Import

Excellent app, very user friendly and simply to use. We migrated from an older version of Prestashop. The migration took a few hours so I left it running and went to bed and it was done by the morning. We had a few small issues, such as a handful of products that didn't migrate and some of the associated attribute images not migrating but the support team fixed those straight away. Migrations are pretty scary and I've done a few over the years but ironically this was the easiest part of our move to Shopify, if only everything had been this easy :(

We used MP - Store Migration & Import to move our WooCommerce store over to Shopify and I am really glad we went with this team. Support was very responsive, clear, and on top of things the whole way through. They went above and beyond to handle the details, kept me updated, and got everything moved over without any real issues.

In the end, the most important part is that they simply got it done. If you want your migration handled properly without a lot of follow-up and hassle, I would definitely recommend this app and their team.

Excellent support and successful large-scale migration

We worked with MigrationPro to migrate a very large dataset from Magento to Shopify, including several hundred thousand orders and customers.

Migrating from one platform to another is about as fun as moving to a new house. The process with Migration Pro was very good overall. I did opt for the full service as I wanted as little hands on as possible because I knew the rest of the migration details would need to be done by us and it's tedious. But as for the core migration, it happened quickly and the team (namely Shams) was very fast to respond to my questions and inquiries.

You'll need to keep one thing in mind - redirects. While the migration does create 301 redirects from your old site to the new one, it does not create redirects for any 301 redirects you originally had in your old platform. Our website has been around for nearly twenty years so we had hundreds of redirects. To move those cost extra dollars but it wasn't crazy high and it was worth it.

I only mention this because almost every migration company I asked if old redirects would move, said they would - that includes a rep at Migration Pro. I was skeptical to hear they would and sure enough, they weren't. Just one thing to keep in mind because redirects are vital.

Otherwise, my overall experience was very good and I would recommend.

We opted for their whiteglove service and cannot recommend it highly enough. The team were very responsive and helpful. They were happy to do as many migrations with as many tweaks as necessary to get us from WooCommerce to Shopify smoothly. Not having to do it all ourselves saved us so much time, money and stress. The experience of using this plugin has been great. Even though the first migration failed due to my error - the support team was fantastic and went over and above to help me resolve it. No nickle and diming me on it either. The team was very attentive to my needs and situation and I wish other developers gave as much attention to customer service and support as this team does. Oh yeah - the plugin itself is top notch and safely migrated all the details I needed for moving away from Wix to Shopify. Data consistency in a migration is critical and this app nails it and then some.
