Cannot in good faith recommend this app. Absolutely ZERO customer service and there is a very obvious glitch in the app and seemingly no way to fix it. My website has few thousand images but after this app compresses the image it makes a duplicate, and then strangely that duplicate is then compressed, then find another duplicate has been made! According to the app I now have close to 15,000 images and the number keeps rising every day even when I do not add any extra products! The app never manages to compress all of my images because it just keeps adding to the number. This also seems to be affecting the loading speed of my site - Before adding this app according to Shopify my loading speed was 'Good' it has now changed to 'Moderate'. There have been no other changes to my site apart from installing this app. Have tried contacting them on numerous occassions but no one bothers to reply. I even contacted the email address that they left in a reply to feedback to another customer hoping it would get a reply but again it has been ignored. I have no choice but to uninstall this app and work hard to fix any damage it has done.
IT doesnt work!
Terrible customer service. They never answered back.
Disappointing Experience with Lack of Support from Image Optimizer
I feel compelled to share my experience with the Image Optimizer app and its customer support team.
Functionality:
The premise of Image Optimizer is promising, offering image compression capabilities to enhance website speed and performance. Initially, the app seemed like a perfect fit for my needs, targeting to optimize around 600 images on my Shopify store. However, the app reported compressing over 2,000 images, a number far exceeding my actual inventory, leading to confusion and concern over the accuracy of its operations.
Customer Support:
The most disheartening aspect of my experience was the complete lack of response from the customer support team. Despite reaching out multiple times with detailed explanations of my issues and a plea for assistance, my requests went unanswered. The absence of support not only exacerbated the problem but also left me feeling disregarded as a customer.
Overall Experience:
Unfortunately, due to the technical issues and, more significantly, the lack of customer service, my experience with Image Optimizer has been far from satisfactory. The inability to resolve a critical issue that impacts my Shopify store's performance significantly undermines the value of the app.
While I understand that technical glitches can occur, the measure of a company lies in its response to customer issues. A more proactive and responsive customer service approach could have mitigated the situation and potentially retained me as a satisfied user.
Rating: 1/5
I've rated Image Optimizer 1 out of 5 stars, acknowledging the potential of the software but significantly marking it down for its failure to deliver on customer support and effectively address software issues.
Advice to Potential Users:
Proceed with caution. While the concept behind Image Optimizer might be what you're looking for, be prepared for potential discrepancies and, based on my experience, a lack of support in resolving them.
To the developers:
I urge you to consider this feedback not as mere criticism but as an opportunity to improve. Responsive customer support is crucial, and addressing user concerns promptly can significantly enhance the value of your service.
I´m waiting for an support answer. We have sent on chat, on email and on the platform.
Scammy as Hell, saying 1.99$ per month unlimited images, then only Shopify inform you by email it's 1 cent per image. Run away fast.
No, we never charge you 1 cent per image. Our pricing is clear: free for manual optimization and $1.99 each month for automatic optimization. You can check the pricing section for more details
1. you say its 9.99 then straight away bills 19.99 in shopify
2. you have plans in settings with NO option to select one
3 you say its a 30 day trial then there no mention or option to cancel on your app'
4. you say there is someone online to chat no one responds.
5. no ability to stop the action.. its just scanning no stop with hardly and settings
not good
there is no reply or support from tech team. pro version was free and then it became 19.99 and then now its 1.99. the app shows the all images are compressed but when you search for products 261485 images are uncompressed. False advertising and app not functioning as described is my response to an honest feedback.
wanted to give this app 5 stars but the customer service does not exist. I wrote to them 4 times on separate days and never got a reply to address the issues I was having even though they clam to be online all day.
It states the app is free.
It only compresses half of my images. To compress the remaining image requires upgrading. That is showing a fee that has been crossed out and is currently free. What is to say you don't get charged later?
I have emailed and there is no reply. I have contacted them via their chat box which states, "we reply immediately", but after just over a day, still no reply.
As others have said in their reviews, there is no customers service.
I am updating this review to add that they have now removed their chat box. There is NO customer support, there help page is minimal, and there 'more about us' link is not a link.
