Why should you use the Product Hider app?
If you wish to hide a certain page or a product from the search engines, this is the perfect app for you! It allows you to instruct search engines not to include your page in the search results and/or not to follow the links on your page.
This is a very straightforward and easy-to-use tool for store owners. It gives you full control about what products, pages etc. search engines shall index and what shall be hidden from Google, Bing, Yahoo, etc.
The noindex tag tells search engines that the page should not be shown in their search results. Without the nofollow tag, however, search engines will still follow all the links on the page. In other words, the page will be read by search engines but it won't be indexed.
The nofollow tag is a html attribute which instructs search engines to refrain from following a link and thereby transfer so called ‘SEO juice’ to the page it links to.
The advantage of not using the nofollow tag combined with the noindex tag is that the Google Pagerank can flow through the noindex. This gives ‘juice’ and authority to the linked pages which are linked to. If the nofollow attribute is activated, this doesn't happen.
